Can't sleep so here's December's thread!

Had a bit of movement, in and out which basically balances out to one IN.
Totals for November are:
UU 25
GA 29
TA 8
Sold 1
IN 35.
Started the month on 474, ended on 448. I broke 450!
I know a lot of the Outs are GA and TA but I had a pre-Christmas clearout. INs would have been much better if I hadn't had my (nightmare) trip to Ikea. The sin of candle buying was committed!
See you all in December!0 -
Couple of final uu for november:
Asda pure hygiene cool white mouthwash - WBA did the job and was a good price.
Mandara spa amber heaven smoothing scrub 50ml- WBA liked the scent and this was nice and scrubby. The scent lingered too.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018
UUs for 2016: 513 In's: 447 UUs for 2017: 207 Ins: 161
UUs for 2018: In's:
Self Confessed Lush Addict!0 -
Two INs from the 29th:
Palmer's Concentrated Cream
Atrixo Hand Cream
One TA:
La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Sample It smelt like PVA Glue, I'm not putting that on my face.
And one last UU from yesterday:
Oral B Complete Mouthwash WBA. I like this mouthwash, it's nice and gentle. I have a different mouthwash in my stash to start to use.0 -
I managed to finish 21 products in November :j I think it's only because most of them were open products and I don't think I'll have many UUs next month.
I had 12 INs during November. I will try to resist offers this month.
And I threw away 4 products. It's been a good month overall.0 -
Lady Gaga fame fragrance
Osmo Effects detoxifying shampoo
Osmo conditioner
Adidas firming shower gel
Johnson's baby powder
Avon Lavender bubble bath
Simple micellar water
Simple micellar cleansing wipes - UU. used up the last wipe tonight while getting ready for bed. No more purchasing of wipes for me now if i can help it
Wilko skin therapy cotton pads
Primark cotton pads0 -
My final UUs for November - I was away with work for a night so took some samples with me to use up as I was just in a Travelodge with no freebie toiletries!
UU - Original Source raspberry chocolate body wash - I do like this, but it is a bit sweet. WMBA (this wasn't a sample size, but there was only 1 use left in the bottle so thought I might as well take it!)
B. Pure Micellar Water - again not a sample size, but just dregs left. WMBA, this is the first micellar water that I've tried, I did quite like it though!
Unknown hotel body wash - olive flavour. No idea where this came from, or how long I've had it. Smelt like cheap aftershave!!
Garnier Ultralift sample - hard to judge with just one use, but it felt quite nice!
Benefit It's Potent eye cream sample - I do really like this product, once I use up the eye creams I have I'll likely get more of this!
Garnier Skin Active moisture bomb - didn't feel like anything special, sat a bit funny on my skin.
Nivea Cleansing Cream Wash - again, nothing special but it did the job!
Mitchum deodorant - It seems like I'm getting through a lot of these, but it's more that I start one, use it for a bit, then seem to loose them! But defo a HG product for me.
And finally - Body Shop peppermint foot scrub. I do love this product, really refreshing and smells great!
So total of 21 UUs for November - my aim is to beat this for December! I have some time off work next week so intend to have a big pamper sesh!0 -

Hi magsue, posting a list is not obligatory, but may help you be more accountable and help you reduce/stop further purchasing, some of us, when we are itchy for something new, "shop from our stashes".
If you sign into your QVC account there is an option for deleting a credit/debit card, don't know what happens when you click on it though, or if you have someone you trust, could you get them to change your PIN number or log in details, so you cannot just click on the buy button on a whim - just a thought:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. This could have been me posting this about 8 years ago when I had serious QVC Beauty addiction. I was made redundant about that time which made me curtail my spending. A few tips that might help :-
1. Try taking what the presenters (SAs) say with a pinch of salt. When the item is limited stock they will still have tens of thousands (I'm talking about TSVs here) in stock.
2. It doesn't help that they all claim that each and every product is their absolute favourite. Remember they are sales people and will gladly try and talk you into buying 10 of each kit so you can gift them to a neighbour, teacher, dustbin man and/or any other mild acquaintance in your life.
3. Don't forget the ml for ml value. It's only good value if you really are going to use the product.
Here's what helps me decide whether to buy a TSV or not.
1. Do your research. Check out a site called Shoppingtelly.com. There is a QVC forum that runs a thread on every Beauty TSV before it goes to air. I have a look at the items contained and if I'll use the majority of them and the price is good I'll buy. The last few TSVs that I have bought have been the Tarte AD and the last two Liz Earle ones. With Tarte my daughter definitely wanted the foundation and mascara and the rest of the kit was divided between us. The Liz Earle kit containing full sizes of the essentials was split between myself, my daughter and sister. The last one was bought by MRM for me for Christmas.
2. I am also now a member of a Closed Facebook group called QVSell. Each TSV is listed and they have a fair pricing policy so that no-one makes a profit. I bought multiple pots of Elemis ProCollagen Marine Cream from members at £15 each (including postage). Might be worth you selling some unwanted items on there?
3. Check that the item can't be bought elsewhere for cheaper. The stinger with QVC is the P&p.
4. Get into the mindset that these offers come around time and time again. It seems to me that it's getting more frequent that the TSVs do not sell out and are then aired at a different price later. OK it's not the huge saving you'd make on the TSV price but is it worth buying new to have those products sit around potentially going off?
Hope this helps. If anything though take real stock of the items you will use and be mindful of what categories you have surplus stocks of. Try to work through older items first and enjoy them all.
Good luck and Look forward to reading your UUs.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
