Where is TSB interest?

Options
I've just sat refreshing my TSB online banking page for the last two hours waiting for the interest to appear but it's not. I also tried on the mobile app and it didn't work either.

Maybe it's a fault but I don't see any other posts about this so I guess everyone else has their interest already. I might go to my local branch and get a mini statement from the ATM, hopefully that will show it.

I think you will find that interest is paid at close of business on the 1st and not at 0001 on the 1st.
Stop worrying, go to bed and tonight you will see your interest.

Even if they had credited interest, you'd be earning below minimum wage.

I never understand why people are so concerned with the interest?

I don't really care about mine - so much so that they could have not paid it every few months and I would be none the wiser.

Depends on how much money you have and whether you are using current accounts as savings accounts. I'm attempting to build my savings as quickly as possible, so I'm harvesting the interest from a number of accounts to pay on to other interest paying accounts.. I let text alerts inform me of payments to my accounts though.

Yes, that's what I would do. In fact, if it's not on the first one, try several other ATMs. The 1st of the month interest is notoriously elusive but you'll track it down eventually.

The interest on £3000 (say) at 3% a day is just over 24 and a half p.

The interest on 24 and a half p (assuming interest is actually paid an a half p) is about 1/10,000 approximately of a p. So having to wait that extra day before dumping my interest into another savings account, that pays me interest, costs me 1/10,000 of a p EVERY month.

The Daily Mail, the person in the street's champion, should take it up to stop this barefaced robbery.
