Next fall will be when the Queen of E mails is voted as first President of USA, could see a short term dip of sub 1.20, next fall after that would be when PM announces date of article 50.
Will we see in next 2 years any post $1.35 values ? I dont think so listening to several commentators of finance.

Most of the reports are that current exchange rates are the worst vs dollar that they have been for over 30 years. Have a look at what the rate was 31 years ago and it might give a clue how much worse it could get. In 1985 it was virtually parity between pound and dollar but obviously for different reasons to now.

Is that a yes - they will get 'worse'?

I mean, if theres good news like nissan buildings new models here .. the pound shoots up , then ..remainers start wingeing ' Why , specials deals ..etc' then the pound went down... check it out ..its a fact.

That's absolutely true. The major financial markets of this world are known to trawl though message boards such as this to decide whether to buy or sell currencies.

Well done :( tony blair and Co..

And, according to recent news , he still won't go back into his hole and is stirring, again.
  • Not such good news for our pensioners living abroad. My friends state pensions have fallen like a stone. They retired to live in Italy (husband is Italian) after working here for 40 years.

That is indeed great news, one of my fears was for Toyota/Honda/Sony factory sites/investment for years to come if we left. However if some kind of guarantee has been given to Nissan involving however indirectly taxpayers money (which others will also want) that is a matter of legitimate public concern given the stupendous debt level, with little plan now to reduce it as before we are told. In the meantime we wait patiently for the £350 million a week for the NHS.

To be fair it was said that it 'could' be spent on the NHS, so is covered like broadband's up to speeds and retailers' up to percentage reductions.

I don't see any "could" in here.
