Did you want to join this challenge Tom ? How much would you like to go for as your first month ?
A big well done to you all making monies and hope everyone does well this month. Please check the list and make sure I haven't missed anyone, especially not really being here much recently.
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday
Lx
I am going to have to pass for this month, as I am in strange circumstance. Just started a new job, and living this month on savings as my pay won't come through to the end of the month!
Saying that, once thats all sorted and a little more regular I am planning to save £500 per month (eek!) - Equates to £16 a day. Do-able, but will be dependent on the extra income coming through. Any tips for a novice saver?
Will update on here when the challenge is in full swing!0 -

I'm really happy for you that after all the trials and tribulations with your old laptop you now have a lovely new one:beer:. I assume the 'man who can' actually couldn't fix your old one:(. Mine is behaving itself (goodness knows why it is:o) so I don't know now whether to bite the bullet and buy another on Black Friday or not. Even though things are running smoothly for now I don't expect that to last, given the age of the laptop:eek:.
I've read very good reports/reviews of Lenovo. It's one of the brands I've been considering myself:T. I know I'll be using Win10 next time too as Win7 is getting a bit past it and no modern laptops have it installed. Is it much of a learning curve from 7 to 10?
My ideal would be to have a MacBook but the prices are so exorbitant even for refurbished ones:eek:. It would be one way of getting rid of Windows for good:j. I've used every version of Windows since 95 up to the current 7 with various degrees of frustration:rotfl:. The only one I was really happy with was 2000NT. Never had a minute's bother with that one.
I was going for a more expensive one but found a really helpful guy at the pc shop. He asked me what I used it for and recommended this model, which is much cheaper. It is a bit slow after the other one, which originally was a top of the range model until it outlived it's sell-by :rotfl: Also, it has an 'up-dated' version of win10, so has a list to find things. You will have to do a little navigating about to set it how you want it - but so far so good fingers xd. It's much lighter as well but the battery only lasts for about three hours. I guess you have to go for what's important to you. At least, if we go to Spain as hoped in a couple of years, I won't be too sad to get a good, top-of-the range replacement one then to take with us
In money-making news I've just had £20 from PA to add, so slowly creeping forward.

Good luck with your new job and your plan. Have a look at the start of the thread, and earlier ones for some ideas

How's everyone doing today:beer:? Money actually received has been non-existent for me but I see a few more pennies (literally pennies;)) has come payable on TCB. Will let it sit there as there's a bit more pending to add to it, hopefully soon.
I'm almost up to minimum redemption level on a couple of survey sites but knowing how slow some of them are to transfer the money I doubt it will be here this month even if I get to do the last one or two surveys needed:(.
Sold a book on Amazon this evening so will get it posted in the morning. Only a cheapie though, I won't smash my target with the profit from that one:rotfl:0 -
Today £19.18 cleared from various book selling sites and I've made up a couple of more parcels to be posted off. Plus I've wrangled a promise for a lift to a 'big' Sainsbos so I can do a bit of Christmas shopping with the double up offer. Ooo, and a fiver from Lucky phone. Been a lucrative day so far.#13 Make 2023 in 2023 - £2085.20/£2023#23 Save £8k in 2023 - £6642.66/£80000

Well done, atti, that certainly was a lucrative day:T. I hope everyone else has had a good day too:beer:
No money made here today but plenty unavoidably spent:(
Oh well, there's always tomorrow:j0 -
fantastic well done.
Our cubs are trying to find ways to fundraise but are competing against 2 local groups who regularly do an auction and other stuff, so they dont do the raffles and trying to get people to part with money like that. very difficult these days when everything involves money.
Aesop a lot of co-ops have a community pioneer who look for ways to help local groups - if you have one near you may be worth them popping in and asking if the cubs can do a collection in store one weekend.January NSD8/100 -

Cheers!
Lucky [STRIKE]Phone[/STRIKE]Leftovers [oops, quick edit there!) is an app on Android where you can use your unlimited texts (max. 5k a month) to enter competitions and you earn 0.1p for every text sent. They've also added daily videos you can watch.
Takes a little while to payout - I've only just got Septembers earnings, but they get there in the end.

£5 M&S voucher from mail rewards.
Havent banked my shrapnel for ages as not sure where it is going to just yet. Our holiday for next year needs paying in Feb and I think we may be quite a bit short for it so putting it to one side and then if its not needed it will go to mortgage overpayment.
