I thought I was savvy!

I think I am pretty savvy online but on checking my bank statements this morning I see two charges one from a company called YOUR SOCIAL SUMMARY and another called MONEY EVERYTHING.
They have taken £59.50 and £29.50 respectively and neither can give me the route from which they gained my details or good reason to have taken it.
Does anyone else have experience of these despicable leach like companies?

If these are not companies that you've knowingly signed up for a service with, then the easiest thing is to ring your bank and raise a query with them. They should be able to tell you who the payments went to, and will refund you if they were fraudulent.0

A very quick google seems to suggest that your social summary is a website that basically gives you an rating for employability(?) based on you social media accounts etc and offers a free trial. Do you happen to remember signing up to anything like this?
Have you cancelled any further charges from coming out?
Not a clue on the money everything one however sorry.
Do I take it from your post you managed to get hold of both companies? What exactly did they say?Total Debt:
Dec 2015: £20,090.87
Dec 2016: £16,320.850 -
Have you had any texts or emails recently from companies who claim they can help/ guarantee you a loan but actually nothing happened? Sometimes these broker companies take a fee for their service, even if you didn't get the credit.
I suppose the key issue is, when and where have you been giving your bank details in the recent past? This is most likely the culprit. Have you signed up for any 'free trials' lately? Contacting your bank is the best place to start, and hopefully they can refund the money to you. Then it may be a case of complaining to these companies.

Google is your friend.
Your Social Summary is the first result when you search and on their website it says.....7 day free trial. £59.50 a month after that. Cancel anytime.
The other is a little more difficult to find via G00gle but sounds very much like a loan broker. The cost being an admin fee for searching for a loan.....possibly.
The first looks easy enough to cancel if you have subscribed however if you don't recognise them then you need to report it to your bank straight away and they'll sort it out with you and get you a new card.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
