  • Good Morning :hello:

    Here we go again :D

Tea last night was dirty tattie wedges and black olive pizaa..... sounds like just the ticket as we hurtle towards halloween :rotfl: There was pizza leftover which has been squirrled into the freezer for another day :D

We achieved general chores yesterday and went out for a pootle in the sunshine in the afternoon.

I was talking to someone else that said that their child wasn't interested in halloween. I hope BG is eventually that way inclined.... it would make things simpler. I'm grateful they're too wee to know what is going on this year.

Tea this evening is a mystery. I didn't get around to writing my meal-planner yesterday. But we've plenty of grub kicking about, so no-one will go without.

I've approximately £3 and some shrapnel of my budget leftover. I've some accounts to write up, but that is all that is in my purse and the 'budget bags' are empty, so..... As far as I know, I've only the TV mag to get tomorrow though. So I should end up with a teeny budgetary surplus.

I must pay my CC bill today. I'm still in plenty of time, but I'll end up forgetting and then it will be too close to the wire! We're up-to-date with all other non d/d bills.

Right, snap is made. Coffee is drunk. Best vamoose and greet the day. Scraping the ice off the window as I go....... :o

    Ta for popping by.

  • Good Evening :hello:

Well, how can I have anything less than a spiffing week, with all the very kind wishes from lovely MSE'rs :D Thanks so much :D

To the lovely MSE'r who offered some advice via pm - thank you. I'm not currently a member of that cashback site. But I'll look into it - thank you for thinking of me :D

We got out and about for a breath of fresh air today. I took a leaf out of mwc's book and walked a little further than I had planned :D It helped that the sun was shining, but in the shade, it wasn't so pleasant - but we were wrapped up well, so enjoyed ourselves :D We also bagged a nsd, as we didn't venture up the high street :D

I was going to tackle my admin mountain tonight, but my eyelids are drooping as I sit here and type, so I don't think I ought to tackle complex sentences that can't involve expressing what I actually think nor swear words...................................:( I'll leave it for another time.

I did however pay my CC bill, so that has been crossed off the list :D

Tea morphed into a curry plate :j I had some home-cooked chickpeas that had been loitering in the fridge, as I hadn't space to put them in the freezer, but they now needed using up, so I made a version of chickpea masala - basically onion, garlic, ginger, half the spice cupboard :o a tin of tomatoes, the last of the coriander- chopped and half a lemon juiced. To accompany, there was lentil dhal and rice. Nom nom :D But with apologies to rtandon for further messing with your head :o It used up stuff I had and made a plate full though :)

We're back to soup tomorrow night - vegetable and bean :D

    Today I am grateful for these 3 things;

inspiration - I need to up my game, as regards looking after "me"

help and advice, freely given :D

Ta for popping in, for reading, for writing and for wishing us well :D

    Grateful. Always.

  • Good Morning :hello:

Not too sure if I've owt much :money:to bat on about this morn.

I must get the family allowance from the bank. I keep on forgetting it is 4 weekly and thinking monthly. But it should be there now. As I mentioned, it took a hit, what with clothes etc last month, and the tin has not alot in it :( I do account for it all, so BG isn't funding mama's prosecco life-style on the QT :rotfl:

We will need some basics, but DH can get those from mrL. I'll see if m&$ have bananas in, they were oos at the weekend (we didn't go in until late on Sunday, so perfectly understandable).

I am up-to-date with my accounts book, and will end up with pennies left over after today's few expenses. BUT, I'll be in credit and I've bought bits for the FB, so that is a win in my book, and a different picture to what was going on this time last year.

    Tea will be soup.

Right, a day to be seized! :D
