Which hotel are you now in?0

I feel so cheated that I just want to pack my bags and go home. My kids have been great so far but seeing them so upset today has really broken my heart.0

It's called Orium Eco Club. It's got very good ratings on trip advisor and to be fair the staff have tried their best to help us but the whole situation has just put a dampener on things.0

Why are they so upset? they have got that from your reaction which whilst I understand you might be a bit upset I would hardly call it the holiday from Hell.
I am sorry but you need to get a grip you can't change what has happened you have been offered a solution, not ideal but it could have been worse.0 -
Why don't you take the offer of 2 separate rooms but then move the mattress from the other room into your room and lay it on top of the sofa beds (if poss) or on the floor then you're all in one room.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

Now that is a good idea.
Can you request a twin room? single mattress will be easier to move and fit in your double. The kids will be able to top and tail for a few nights.
Failing that buy a couple of lylows for the kids and excitedly tell them it will be fun like camping indoors.0 -
Either accept the two rooms & have one adult and one child in each or buy air beds to put on top of the sofa beds.
This is a classic case of parental attitude affecting the children's attitude which in turn backfires on the parents' attitude. Yes, you may think you deserve compensation or whatever, but sort it out quietly. You're on holiday now, so make an adventure of unusual sleeping arrangements. It's not as if you've all gone down with Norovirus or got caught up in a natural disaster - that is what constitutes a holiday nightmare.0 -
Read what your paperwork says to do. It will probably say you need to ring the number on your hotel voucher, which is probably Travel Republics suppliers rep in resort. Only if they, or the hotel can't resolve it should you ring TR.
You certainly can't just go and book in somewhere else and expect TR to refund you. Their supplier has to be given every opportunity to resolve the situation while you're in resort.
I'm not sure why you're kids are so upset? They will only be upset if you start being upset in front of them, because they pick up on that. Most kids will sleep on a clothes line. Can't you put one child in the bed with your OH and you and your other child sleep on the sofa beds? My OH legs hang over the end of the bed all the time. It's not a big issue. You could always let the kids take it in turns.
Just ring the number they've given you to ring if you've got problems, and take it from there. This is not a holiday from hell though.0 -

I think you mean the OTIUM Eco Club.
If so, on TR I can not see any description of a room with two double beds. Are you in what they call a Large Room? Could you have been confused with what you read and what you thought you would receive in terms of bed layout?

The description mentions that extra rollaway beds are possible. I mentioned that post #2 - did you ask if those could be added to the room?
The hotel seems to offer family bungalows. Have you asked/looked at these?
Lots of other suggestions have been made from other posters.
I suspect however a few firm words with your kids will be the answer!0 -
I'd just tell them to stop being so blooming precious and remember there are plenty of children who won't be getting a day in Brighton, let along two weeks in Turkey.0
