    Hi everyone,

Nice to see you back in one piece NSK, I hope you had a fantastic and fulfilling couple of years off travelling - it's something I would have loved to have done at your age.

Anyway day 1 completed and sfd accomplished, I have been looking after dgd so that's all the exercise done - dancing, chasing and pretending to eat plastic cakes!!!
I still have some fuel in the car so I will hang on putting more in just yet, and unless I really need to use it I will use my bus pass as its free!!! (I'll have to look it out)
I must do a fridge sort out tomorrow and see what I have in, I must have enough to last until the end of the week, I can make a loaf in the bm, soup out of lo veggies and main meal out of the freezer. I'm another one who can't seem to follow a menu plan, so I buy in what I think I want to eat and go from there, it works for me and I've always been been like that.

Anyway off to make myself my last drink of the day.

Nooooo, practically everyone has their first NSD to report whereas I have spent a lot of money :o Train tickets home at Christmas time, money to my sister for my dads birthday present and money to my brother for travel tickets for my cousins wedding next year - all budgeted though. I also went to the supermarket and got some fruit, veg and gf goodies to keep me going. Went to the gym as well.

I'm aiming for military so planning my next spend day for Sat - we're going to see the fireworks with friends and will probably go for a drink afterwards.

Since today was a spendy day for DDs anyhows and weekly bus tickets, I nipped into the SM for some end of the day bargins on the way home picked up some yellow sticker items which will make some lunches easier to grab and go.

Banked 3 hrs toil for Dec/Jan also picked up a replacement laptop charger for £7 (paid for last month) which has fixed the issue and so now i don't need to buy a replacement laptop which is a win.

Hi all, please can I join in? Feel like I've lost the plot lately when it comes to food spends in particular! Need to get back on track and back in control of money. I'm going to try military for this week. Was a NSD yesterday and hoping for the same today.

So budgets for this month -

Food - normally £200 for me and DH so £180 this month
    Petrol - £100
Xmas pressies/cards - £200 (will spend again in Dec)
Entertainment - £100 (includes budgeted work meal out and cinema but hopefully won't spend the full amount)
Toiletries - £0 - have LOADS so will avoid buying anything

Have done a meal plan for dinners this week and will be making parsnip soup today for lunches.

    Excited! Xx

Right, a quick review of the freezer shows 34 portions of home made ready meals - requiring only veg and carbs. So that is 17days of November covered without ANY cooking, and we are away for a further 7. There are also 8 days of cooked breakfast in there, and enough home made soup for 13 lunches. I have all the ingredients for bread. I MUST be able to come in under budget this month.

Put the last of the Pepsi cans in the fridge. I really want to reduce that, so I am not going to buy any before we go away. I won't drink it on holiday so hopefully will have got myself weaned off by the time we get back. Then I will have a rethink. I'm fine with the big bottles at home, but the work fridge is too small. There is a Lidl near work, so I suppose if I don't take any in and I am desperate I won't have to resort to overpriced cans.

Off to PT first thing (pre-paid) I WILL need to pick up some veg to last until Friday - I'm down to my last handful of kale:rotfl: but that will be it hopefully until we go away, and as I have to pay the chimney sweep anyway it's my spend day. I'm only feeding myself for the next 3 days as well, so some bottom of the fridge surprise is sure to be on the menu at some point.:o.

Have a NSD everyone's you can.

    Good morning!

    candylucy you're welcome and numbered.

We had the heating on for a month now (middle Scotland). Now starts the time of year when i wish we could move sooner. Had the heating on timer since half 5 and the living room is still only 16C at half 7.

    See you later

Hello, I am going to try and follow along with you as I aim for as many NSD as I can.
Although I have no idea about all the challenges I will go back to the beginning and take a look at the details when I have time.
Yesterday was a success as NO Spends, just a council tax bill paid. We ran out of bread so I made some in the bread maker.
Today I take DS shopping so that will be tough not buying the odds and sods we are low on, or out of!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
  • Morning all!

I didn't check in last night as was on late work calls boo but checking in now with a NSD yesterday. Going for another one today, hoo ya!

Got some bananas on the turn (actually I think they've totally turned) that I'm going to make into banana bread for some after school snack and breakfast options. On inspection of my cupboards I have 6 pretty full bags of flour and I bake only on special occasions so not too sure why...:D

    Happy Weds!
