Hello everyone
Unfortunately not a NSD as we needed some essentials (bread and milk) but it didn't come to very much. Keeping a balance in a notebook so that I stay within our £200 budget.
All our meals today were made from freezer and vegetables which we already have in stock plus pasta from store cupboard
Managed a bit of a walk but not quite as long as I would have liked as I had a lot to do in the house.
Resisted the temptation to buy the two small people next door Paw Patrol advent calendars. Actually had them in the shopping basket and took them back out again.
Have a good evening.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
First NSD of the month (pleased to achieve this on Day 1) and I managed it by making rock buns instead of popping to the shops for biscuits for my builders :j Trying to bake in a bread-warmer that masquerades as a propane oven is a lot harder than it would first appear, so I was rather pleased when they came out edible, and cooked...rather than burnt or raw...0

Welcome back NSK.
A NSD. Slept well (from 11pm so hoping to continue more 'normal' sleeping pattern). Back aching and various twinges but have tackled household chores in small chunks with resting in between. Only walked as far as the library but multiple times up and down the yard so enjoyed the sunshine.
Going for an early night and hope to do a bit of crafting early in the morning.
Today I am grateful for a very good night's sleep, for beautiful autumn weather and for using things up (grateful both ways - having things to use up and for 'making do' with what I have instead of buying). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Well day 1 and I've got my first NSD - I had to pay for my Zumba class but it's budgeted for and cash was taken out for them at the weekend and the only option is to PAYG for them, so I'm dismissing that. Also meant I've got my first exercise session in
Food - lunch was couscous (I have about 1/4 of a pack to use up - only myself and DS3 eat it, and mainly only in the Summer, so I shall look to use it up this month on lunches) with 1/2 can of chickpeas, blackened peppers (were wrinkly in the bottom of the fridge), onion and some Moroccan-style salad dressing lurking on the top shelf of the fridge (it has been my mission for months to get the top shelf clearer of jars and bottles and I am finally getting somewhere!) Leaving me half a can of chickpeas in the fridge to use later in the week. We've had odds and s0ds for dinner, with only 2 eating the same thing out of the 5 of us. Used the last few slices of peperoni from the freezer for pasta, OH is having fillet steak (YS purchase) and I had the last HM burger on HM roll with salad and a tub of ranch dressing brought back from our US holiday - oh, and the sliced plastic cheese was also brought back!OH is useless at eating up stores (I think it can be traced back to his childhood - never any money, cheap food stretched out and he therefore likes lots of choices and detests lentils and pulses) and refuses to stik to a meal plan. However, myself and DS1 (thankfully super unfussy) usually manage to eat up leftovers and strange concotions.
Also made a panful of courgette and tomato soup for lunches (OH will eat if I make croutons to go with it and crumble bacon in his portion) - tomatoes were from freezer (bought but had been too squidgy to eat 'fresh') as were courgettes (homegrown and grated and frozen back in 2014!!) I have too much frozen fruit and veg (from gluts) - especially HG apples and pears, so will have stewed fruit this month to use some of this up and free some space for Xmas (I like to make some things ahead and freeze, like red cabbage, bread sauce, etc)
Feeling up for this this month!

Evening all. Loving reading everyone's posts.
Well that is day 1 done and dusted!! I have managed my 1st NSD.
My car will not be back until next Tuesday so I have saved my weekly fuel allowance too! I am having to lift share with Hubby and it means adhering too his times but I can live with that for a week

Right sans small people my proper update is here:
I had an 11am meeting so knew I wouldn't get home again before having to set off on the school run. So with military precision I made coffee, a sandwich, packed snacks for DS after school to avoid giving in to hungry tired whines, and off we went. Id also checked I could get another nights food from the fridge which ended up being leftover spaghetti and meatballs for the children and the epic concoction of a mince meat, bacon, onion, pepper and cheese wrap each (hot) with a tiny bit of leaf salad I had left, some radishes, tomato and parsley, plus oven chips.
We were out of the house from 10am to 4.30pm in the end. Me and DD spent an hour in the library and then about 1.5 hours in the park.
I didn't need to put travel money on my oyster today. But I saved money by only taking the bus home with DS, all my other travels were on foot. So I've walked for around 2 hours today.
We will need food tommorow so a planned spend day.
Not a bad start.
Bob
P.S It's 1st November and my heating is still off. DH mentioned he'd like to put it on in passing at the weekend and I gave him a sidelong look which hushed that suggestion" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
