Apple are getting a cut of the tariff/bill too.0 -

Nokia, SE and others have been making phones and other gadgets far too long to let Apple get a march on them here; their responses will be phenominal products. I think it's overrated in terms of the technology for the price. There is little innovation - it's just putting a phone into an iPod. Touch screens still have a lot of flaws and do you want it on something that is subject to such physical abuse? Not sure.
Of course, the followers of fashion will see the value in the brand, but I for one prefer functionality, appropriateness for what I want, and not being a target for muggers! The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Can't believe they expect you to commit to an 18mth contract on top of the phone cost - and such a poor tariff at that for £35 /mth. Like someone else said, you could get a 16gb ipod touch for the same price, and get an n95 for free on a 12mth contract0

Boycott the damn thing, thats what I say!
Typical Britain....RIP OFF
Iphone is £260 odd quid
Enter into a new 18 month contract (Even if you are an existing o2 customer, you will be required to "port" your number from 02 back into 02...madness, and to do this you will be allocated a temporary number whilst they "transfer" your existing 02 number back into 02.
Tariffs....hmmm, lets see £35 per month for 200 measly minutes!! I currently pay £15 per month on 02, for that I get 500 mins 500 texts, free voicemail, free calls Sat, Sun, Mon for the duration of the contract. As for the Unlimted data...well where I live there are hardly ANY free wifi hotspots so its of no use to me.
Wait, it gets better! You can simply buy an Iphone and unlock it for free if you are tchnically savvy
http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/news/news.phtml/10099/11123/iPhone-unlock-published-free-online.phtml
(and NO, you do not need to open up the case)
OR you can pay £40 for the simple unlock procedure

Once the iphones become available and the unlocking becomes publicised more, who do you reckon is going to pay 02 and its rip off Iphone Tariffs when you will be able to keep your existing one??? Not me thats for sure!
I am so sick of this country and the constant ripping off of the UK Public by these companies!0 -

Taking into consideration it offers unlimited wifi and data, its sounds ok0

According to 02, "unlimited" is subject to a fair usage policy of...wait for it...an ever so generous amount of 200Mb....yes, that MB not GB!!
You will be lucky to be able to get 1Mb via EDGE let alone 200Mb, oh and only 30% of the country is currently covered by EDGE....and as for mycloud there are 7 "hotspots" in my town, 3 Pubs and 4 Hotels, sounds to me like a fantastic, value for money deal...NOT!!!0 -
Or a better idea is you can you get buy the phone from say ebay then take out t-mobile's web n walk tariff
For £32 a month you can get up to either 450min or 900 text msgs mix and match and unlimited web surfing and emails
or for £37.50 gets you up to 900 minutes or 1800 texts plus unlimited web surfing and free weekend calls
so better deals on t mobile
but like i said earlier cant wait for the w960i 8gb is standard with touch screen and battery life is supposed to be better than the iphone0
