September 24th. Estimated Interest to be paid next month £0.00
balance cleared before due date.
during last billing month a couple of BT's which are then cleared. (done this lots in the past when I want to transfer a balance with same CC provider).
24th October. Interest added £7.61
no October statement generated yet, I guess tonight.
I have never been charged interest on this card and even if they have charged interest for the couple of days after a BT surely the fact the 24th Sept statement said £0.00 interest I wouldn't see BT interest till 24th November having been informed on 24th October statement?
thanks.

Your post is really not very clear. If you are saying that a couple of 0% balance transfers expired during the period, then the charging of interest is correct. It is clearly stated somewhere that the estimated interest does not take into account any promotional rate coming to an end.
  • It's not clear exactly what you're asking, but the estimated interest is just that - estimated on what they know at that time. Balance Transfers are charged interest immediately, so if that happened between the two statements it would appear on the next, even though they previously 'estimated' none.

sorry it wasn't clear. I tried to be to the point as some of my questions tend to ramble on a bit. :o

this bit is interesting (no pun intended) and what I may have expected but I have done what I have done this month several times before and never had interest charged.
i'll wait and see what the full statement shows tonight.
    thank you.

What date did your BT end?

This is probably in between statement dates. It rarely ties in with the statement date. It should say the exact date somewhere on your previous statement.

completely my mistake and me being an idiot. new statement has now been generated and I can see where interest has been payable.
it is indeed to do with the BT and the few days from after the BT and me paying if off. I had wrongly thought it to be like a purchase having convinced myself I had done this before with no interest charges.
looking back at an old statement I did indeed pay a couple of quid interest after BT's.
