Morning all! I'm on this week - thanks Natty :A

Valli - great news on the card and your sister; fingers crossed you get a third bit of good news xx

LW - look after yourself xx

Mrs MP - glad your daughter is ok; she sounds like she's a sensible young lady x Don't want to lecture your DS, but is he carrying his phone in a sensible place? Having been to more gigs than I care to mention, I know phone theft is rife but I also see so many people with phones sticking out of their back pockets, and phones that fall out in the mosh pit!!!

Adam Hills was brilliant last night and he was out in the foyer meeting everyone after the show so I have a photo and he signed my ticket :D A really nice man!

Heading to the Swedish shop after I've checked and will be home sometime this afternoon (if I don't get lost in there!!) so list ready for then.

    Right - listy ................

Monday Mayhem ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level One....
    Vacuum floors and sofas

    Level Two...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets

    Level Three...
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Tidy shoes, coats and bags ..

    Deep Clean Challenge
Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

DD and I saw Adam Hills in Buxton a while back. He upgraded a couple to a box - he was very good but also seemed very nice!

They are keeping a lid on visitors, just her OH and mum going today I think mum thought I would be less than pleased not to be allowed but she's through the op, off the ventilator but in a lot of pain, which was expected. I'm happy to leave her in peace.

    Washing pegged out.

Frodders, I've already given him a lecture. Phone in back pocket is not a sensible look at a gig (or anywhere else come to that) he might not have known everyone's moby numbers but we've had the same landline since before he was born, he could and should have rung home even reversing the charges to let us know he was safe and so I could have rung dd2s partner to save him a wasted 20+ mile round trip to meet a train in the early hours that ds1 knew he wouldn't make.
Thankfully all he's lost is a phone and hopefully he will learn a lesson from it this time.

Valli glad your sister is getting plenty of rest and time to recuperate. Make sure you do the same this is a very stressful time for you as well. So factor in some feet up 'me' time for yourself

  • I'm in this week as much as I can. We have a party for 60 on Saturday night for our silver wedding. There will 15 of us staying in the house:eek: -have had to farm ds1 and his gf out to an air bnb down the road. All well and good -except a friend has had major surgery and so each afternoon I have to travel from W Yorks to Salford Royal to see him - which is putting a bit of a crimp in the preparations!

Still he's alive -it was that sort of surgery:(- and none of the guests are that precious - as long as there's plenty of food and drink we'll be fine :D

Oh yes and the plasterer is here doing the hall this week - but has assured me he will leave it tidy on Friday.

  • Wow thriftmonster you certainly have a heck of a lot going on and a full house to look forward toalong with a lovely celebration.
Hope your friend continues to make a very good and full recovery.

Nipping in attic now as I want to cull some mags from a box that are up there.

    Good Morning :hello:
I'm on half term so it's my time to shine and get stuck in :D
Thank you for the list Natty and for last week's Valli, (I know I wasn't really about but still lol :D x)

If it's ok can I make my own list please? I have so much I need to do while I can!

    Dishes
    Clear breakfast bar and clean
    Clear table and clean
    Clear out pantry and clean
    Clear kitchen floor and clean
Clear living room windowsill and clean
    De-clutter coffee table and clean
    Clear Welsh Dresser and polish
    De-clutter living room floor
    Dust and polish
    Hoover

That is one part of my day....more to come! #womanonamission!

Big hugs to all that need them and have a great day whatever you're doing :)
    Jenny x
  • If I hadn't been lurking and flying along with you, it would have been a disaster. At least the house is reasonably presentable - so I seriously owe you all, especially Valli and Natty for the lists.

  • Morning all,

Thanks for the list Natty and for last week Valli, and glad your sister has had her op.
    Today I've:

WM, including unblocking the filter, Dw, wiped down kitchen, s&s bathroom, HHI, tidied up everywhere a bit, emptied all bins.

I'm off list this week, because I've got the week off, and my plan is to work on the downstairs as much as I can. I want to move in to the new bedrooms asap! Fed up now .
I'm just having lunch, then off for a riding lesson (oh dear, this is getting regular and is not the cheapest hobby in the world, but it makes me happy)
Then need to get a present for DD2's friend.
Then back home, i want to hoover and mop everywhere, then the plan is to do more decorating.

LW, hope you are not too sore. Take it steady x

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for the lists, we'll be in tomorrow. Just unpacking and laundry today. I think we will all be in bed early, but the kiddies had a fab time and my Fitbit has been "fed" lots lol. My feet are aching now! Caught up with some friends and met some new ones too, just lovely.

It's turned very chilly, though, and the house felt cold so we have had heating and fires going to warm us up. Always feel cold when I'm tired...

I've a few bags to go upstairs then I'm going to think about dinner for the wee ones. Might be sausage and Yorkshire Puds - nice and warming!
