  • Morning all,

Well the hospital didnt ring yesterday so i will be sat around waiting until 4pm when if they haven't rung i have permission to ring them!

If it is all good news and baby has no major chromosome abnormalities then i have another decision to make? do i find out if it's a pink or blue bump?

With my first two i didnt find out and loved the suprise when they arrive, with my third i found out and to be honest it was a bit of an anti climax.

Im not sure i can stop myself from asking though. Knowing they have the answer in front of them in black and white is too much for me. :rotfl:

    Will power whats that?

Hope everyone has a good day, all with health problems i am thinking of you.

Happy birthday to mrsmix's dd and grannyboons mum.

Penpin i hope your mouth starts to feel better soon.

N9eav good luck with the tv hunt.

Will check in later no doubt.

    Leigh xx

Mrsmcawber snuck in whilst i was typing i hope your sister is ok and fingers crossed for good news.

    Good morning all!

I just popped in to say hello - haven't been on the daily thread for absolutely ages. The trouble is, when I do, it stops me doing much else, cos I keep looking back to see what's going on & who else is here!
I haven't really read through the posts yet except N9eav's - has anyone else suggested freecycle for a new telly?
Anyway, just wanted to say hi to all of you on this bright but chilly morn, hope all is well & hugs to all who need/want them.

    Have a good day!

(now I am off to read all the posts before this one)
  • Morning All

Happy Birthday to Mrs-Mix DD, hope the party goes ok.
    (((Hugs)))) if needed.

Sunny and chilly here in Essex this morning. Have done lunches, cleaned kitchen, unloaded dw & loaded wm. Once the school run is done will be in my office and I will be focused and motivated today and get shed loads done - perhaps if I keep saying it it will happen!

Footie again tonight and have to take 2 other boys with us, ds is moaning about sore foot but hopefully he will be ok. A possible part time job was mentioned to me yesterday and I have said Im interested - its seasonal only till Jan but its good money, only 2 days a week and will suit me timewise so fingers x'd. Will be strange though, havnt worked elsewhere for 8 years!

Need to do some ironing later hopefully will have time so dont end up with a mountain again.

Best be off now, have a great day.x

    Morning Everyone

Birthday wishes :bdaycake: Miss_Mix & Gt GB + anyone else celebrating.

:grouphug: To all with losses, sick relies, not well themselves, waiting results, or would just like one:grouphug:

Just going to have brekky andjump in the shower before starting on the rest of the tidy up.

The wholemeal loaf in the new Panny BM worked a treat (even though I set it on XL when making a L loaf), so will be trying a fruit loaf later. Involving DH as he seems to like doing it.

    Take care

    Good morning.

My food week has gone a bit wrong: DH announced he did not like the vege options on my meal plan, and asked whether I was trying to starve him. I suppose I should have remembered he doesn't like mushrooms, spinach, aubergine or roasted pumpkin when planning meals such as wild mushroom & spinach risotto, stuffed aubergine and roasted pumpkin on couscous with prune & onion confit!!!!! So I have had a rejig and he is happy with tonight's plan of oven-baked vegetable biriani. I just ate a huge portion of wild mushrooms on toast for breakfast, which is a positive side-effect. I will hide the aubergine in something (he is right, I mostly buy it because I love how it looks) and maybe dig out a pumpkin and coconut chilli soup (he likes it like that).

I will take sandwiches to work, and leave after 9.30 to get the cheap bus fare (no set hours). Hopefully today I won't eat the sandwiches and then go and have lunch in the work canteen as well!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good morning everyone

Happy Birthday to Mrs Mix's DD and granny broon's Dmum
mrs micawber - hope the results are good for your DSis. ((hugs)). BTW, your cooking plan sounds great. Care to send some by airmail to me? Pastry isn't my strong point.
heavenleigh waiting is awful, isn't it? Fingers crossed for good news. I'm not sure I would want to know the sex of the baby. When I was scanned with DD, the radiographer said "oh look, he's moving around". Just as well I didn't listen to her and buy lots of blue things.
(((hugs))) to those with bad news, troubles, or just needing one.

XDH is taking DS and DD to school today so I don't have to battle through rush hour traffic there and back. So as soon as I'm finished here I'm off to start on my bedroom. It's a tip, to put it mildly. Going to go through all the bags of presents and sort them out and hopefully get a couple wrapped.

After that i need to go out and pick up a couple of travel brochures for France (so that DD can decorate her French book), get her an art pad and some pencils (which I forgot to buy before now :o ) and get a couple of things from the supermarket. I also need to get one of my printer cartridges refilled.

Dinner will be a chicken pasta bake of some sort. Lunch will be leftover soup.

    Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx

Just a quickie from me as I'm feeling very rough again. The chest infection seems to have spread to my throat and I can't swallow. My cough is worse and my head is pounding. This has been 10 days now. icon9.gif I was up half the night and think I may go back to bed. I'm just not very good at doing that. :o May make an appointment at the surgery but as I am never away from the place for other things I tend not to go with things like this.

Sorry for sounding like a miserable cow. :o

No housework done yet, just got up to make sure kids looked respectable as it's school photograph day. ;)

Prepared spag bol yesterday and we'll have the rest of the rhubarb crumble tonight too.

Fingers crossed for good news Heavenleigh

Hope Miss Mix enjoys her party Mrs M

Sorry your family are having such a hard time Mrs McCawber

    Good Morning All

n9eav - can sympathise with you an tv's, mine went last week, and we could only afford a second hand one also. But we've now gone from a 32inch to a 42 inch rear projection! The difference is unbelieveable. got it at a very good price, as I haggled, and the chap came down in price! I cant wait to watch football on it later!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MISS MRS-MIX - hope she has a lovely day!
GB - Happy birthday to "mum" (((hugs to her)))
DLB - Likewise, with DS, he's excited about his first cookery lesson!
Amie - those vodka's sound sickly but yummy!
Mrsmcawber - Im sure things will be fine with your sister. Im glad she could laugh off the pregnancy thing!
    Heavenleigh - (((hugs)))

Sun's out but quite cool in the air. Heating went on last night. Must dig out my "winter" curtains at the weekend, and prepare for the change over! Cleaning windows etc!

And hopefully - when OH gets round to fitting these new doors on, it should keep the rooms warmer! The doors are treated with bri-wax! The chap said they paid around £20 for a small tub and treats them twice a year,as they are solid pine. I was wandering, if I could use bees wax instead. I may just end up treating them, and coating them with a clear varnish! Any suggestions to keep the cost down of maintenance would be appreciated.

WM on, not sure if it'll finish in time before work to peg it out.
DD did well in Judo last night, she'd done her first grading. I think she has 2 more grading's before moving to the next belt!

Bangers & mash for dinner later.
Right, best be off and get ready for work.
    Love Emma xxx
