A little update on today.
£2 spent in the charity shop on a big bag of Thomas trains and track- bargain and he was so chuffed!
£11.10 on lunch in a cafe- soft play was closed, so I decided to treat us to lunch out. Unnessary spend but it was was lovely!
Also spent 2 hours cleaning the house, this well free up some time tomorrow to get all the Ebaying done!0 -
Had a bad couple of days money wise. I have managed to mess up my budget completely. I forgot I had changed one of my DD dates to the start of the month, as well as overdraft fees taking me my surprise. I am currently £13 over my overdraft limit
and feeling lost and overwhelmed by money, debt and life in general.
I thought I would list all my outgoing to see where it all went wrong:
Incoming: £902
EBay: £66.53 over a few days
OH: £81
£16.70 Aldi- I thought this was coming out of Oct budget but I was wrong!
£45 Santander ovedraft fees
£495 Rent
£283.88 Halifax CC
£4.01 Tesco
£20 cash out- lunch out, buss fare £2 left!
£5.98 Superdrug
£4.67 PayPal refund to buyer
£13.26 PayPal fees
£29.27 Barclays DD
£2 Charity shop
£96.25 EE phone bill (me & OH)
£56.31 TSB OD
£17 EBay postage
I am now -£13.99 and I still need to pay £20 Aqua CC and £15 off the Halifax CC. As well as a small amount of spending money, say £15. I also have my leaving meal for work this Friday, I am at a lost at how I can afford that.
Yesterday was a NSD so at least that's something!
So a lot going on, a lot of money paid to banks which makes me feel ill! My Child benefit goes in on the 17th Nov. In hindsight I should'nt have spent paid so much off the Halifax CC but I missed last months payment and didn't want to default and incur more charges!
The only thing I can think is Ebay, Facebook sell like crazy!
Feeling very demotivated this evening

I have missed a few days posting.
Friday and Saturday were NSD, I spent £25 yesterday as I had my leaving meal with the guys from work.
Selling and decluttering has been going well. I sold some more make up on Facebook for £13 and have lots of watches on my EBay items. I have also taking 3 bags of clothing/stuff to the charity shop.
We finally get the car back today my OH sister has lent us £200 and we out £200 onto my OH credit card. Not ideal but couldn't be helped. At least now in understanding the need for a emergency fund.
I have done a meal plan and food shop for the week ahead, I budgeted £50 and it came to £45 so I added advent calander for little one and the OH as well as some Christmas snacks. Made me feel more organised!
I now have 3 days off until I start my new job on Thursday. The OH is off tomorrow so I'm hoping to get to the Tip and list some of Little ones toys he no longer plays with.
Over the next few days I need to find £15 to pay off the Halifax CC £20 for the Aqua CC. I'm hoping to cover this with EBay/Facebook sales.

Forgot to add I phone my EE and managed to reduce my phone bill by £5. Not a massive amount but every little helps!0

Gosh I cant believe I haven't posted since November last year- time goes by so fast!
I started a new job last November which was better paid than the last and on the 1st of Jan went back to full time. I can now walk to work so less travel costs and can also go home on my lunch break meaning no purchasing lunch. Despite all of this my debts seem to have increased  I think this has been due to Christmas and letting my spending get out of control as I have been earning more. Which is a bad mindset to be in and I am determined to get out of.
My debts as of today are as follows:
Halifax CC: £3900
Aqua CC: £295
Capital one CC: £200
Very: £1053.61
TSB overdraft: £100
Santander Overdraft:£500
Family : £300
Total: £6351
and as usual no savings!!
Goals for this week
* List 20 items on Ebay and Vinted
* Work out final budget for next month
* Order a fathers day card and gift, post my Dads cards
* Go through all my little ones clothes that I have kept to make sure I still want it all and sell any i don't
* Meal plan for rest of month
* Have at least 3 NSD over the next 2 weeks
Lots to be keeping myself busy to get to my overall goal of being debt free by 30 and having some savings.
Speak soon,

Well back again, my last post was in June.. madness!
I feel that I have finally had a full on light bulb moment. I have spent the last week obsessively ready MSE and looking at my money, where it goes and how I want and need my budget to look.
To really tackle this debt I need to get serious, so far I have:
- closed an old studio account
- paid off and closed my capital one CC :j
- Opened 3 new savings accounts and 1 new current account.
- written a budget.
- snowballed my debts in 'what's the cost' which estimates 37 months to become debt free
- joined 3 survey sites
My current debts (in order) are as follows:
Halifax: £3971.50
Very: £967
Santander overdraft: £500
Family: £300
Aqua CC: £270
TSB overdraft: £100
Total: £5888.50
My main goals are to:
- update this diary regularly to be accountable
- reduce that debt free date
- make as much extra money as possible to throw at the debt
- get to the root of my spending habits
- build up a decent emergency fund
- become Debt free!
Looks so easy written down like that
Here's to getting rid of that debt!!
Becks0 -
Since I last posted I have:
- Joined another 3 survey sights
- Reduced my snow ball date from 37 months to 27 months :T by getting 0% interest on the Halifax Credit Card
- Paid off an extra £47 off Debt
- Downloaded the 'manage Christmas' app which is great for budgeting and a list lovers like myself
- Sold 8 items on Ebay and currently have 21 items listed
- Put lots more change in the 'holiday saving' jar, every little helps right!!
I feel in a good headspace with money, I have had a couple of slip ups in Tesco and Greggs but the Ebay money has covered this and I now know to avoid these places. I'm on the payday count down now- can't wait to pay a chunk of the debt. I aim aiming to have 2 NSD in a row, not counting Ebay postage as that is covered.
I'm off to do some more surveys!!

I spent £2.99 today in a charity shop on a new Asos jacket, unnecessary spend but one of my Ebay parcels went as large letter so that offsets most of that.
I had my payslip emailed over to me and it's £150 less than what I budgeted for  making me panic! I am just going to have to reduce my debt payments by that amount, not ideal but I don't have any where else to make cuts. I am still paying over the minimum payments. I think I should have got paid more so will look into that tomorrow.
I will continue to Ebay- no sales today
Definite NSD tomorrow- I will avoid the charity shops as I apparently have no will power!
