Right this is the start of the new me, new beginnings and becoming debt free. I am determined to sort myself out financially before the big 30- only 3 short years away! I guess I have had my LBM, I start a new job in two weeks so it feels like a fresh start.
As of today my debts are as follows:
Halifax CC: 4570
Aqua CC: £300
TSB overdraft: £100
Santander overdraft: £500
Brother: £300
Total: £5770
and a grand sum of £0 in savings.
My goals for the rest of 2016-
- Get up to date with my Halifax payments to avoid any more charges etc
- Pay off TSB overdraft and stay in the black
- Pay off Aqua CC
- reduce phone bill
- Do not buy any more clothes, shoes or make up in 2016
- Ebay the hell out of life
- start meal planning and spend less in supermarkets.
I will report back daily.
Here's to becoming debt free

Day off today with the little one- my favourite kind of day.
I need to post 4 EBay parcels and that's the only money I'm going to spend. Will head to the park and go for a walk around the loch for free entertainment.
My goals for today:
- eBay 5 items
- weekly meal plan and shopping list
- ring EE to see if I can reduce my phone bill
Here's to a money saving day :T

Well it's been a disaster, yesterday was a write off. The only thing I managed was to post the EBay items. Little one was in a terrible mood, he must have been over tired after 2 full days at nursery. So that was draining, dealing with tantrum after tantrum. I ended up in Costa spending £7 and Boots spending £3. so angry at myself.
At least by admitting all my spends here I can see where my weaknesses are, one being coffee shops!
This morning I was already to get off to work when the OH phoned to say he has been in a car accident, thank god he was okay but the car is a write off. The insurance will cover it but the excess is £400 and we don't get a courtesy car. How on earth we will find that money I just don't know. I feel that we need cut a bit of slack, it has been a long run of bad luck for us!
As for goals for today. There won't be many as I just want the OH home to give him a big cuddle. I will try and do some Ebaying and we can sit and work out where we will find £400! Any ideas, please let me know??

Not much happened today, apart from making sure the OH was okay after his little accident.
I have done a Meal plan for the week and we should be okay until payday which is this Friday.
I spent £16.50 in Tesco getting some bits for the week ahead and some treats to cheer us up a bit, that was an unnecessary spend but chocolate and ice cream are my weaknesses. I have 3 items finishing on Ebay this evening so hopefully they will all sell.
I am working tomorrow and will now need to get the bus to work which will be my only spend.
The plan for tomorrow:
- Take lunch to work from home
- Return Primark clothes for refund back onto the Aqua cc £15

Hi SunshineBecks
I too am 30 in 3 years time and wish to be debt free before thenI started a new diary today too.
It's crazy isn't it when you add up all the little buys (£3 here and there) I have been doing this as i work in the community and am out and about all day however now i have a office based job starting on Thursday and hopefully this will eradicate them little spends!
Good luck on your journeyTesco Loan - 91770 -
So little one has been quite poorly over that last two days, he has had a chest infection the poor mite. I took the day off work yesterday to stay with him. which means I will lose a days pay but I have worked 2 extra days this month so I'm hoping it wall all balance out.
Yesterday was a NSD:T I also listed 6 items on Ebay and sold one item on Facebook.
I went through all of Little ones toys and de-cluttered 2 bin bags full of toys all to go the charity shop, a few items for Ebay and a bag to stay at Grandmas house. I love a declutter! I also downloaded the Aqua app to check the balance, this will also allow me to make payments.
Today I had to post 2 Ebay items which cost £5.20 (necessary) and £3.25 in McColl's which wasn't really needed. I have listed 2 more items on Ebay and put some Makeup up on a Facebook site to sell. Also a little more de-cluttering happened.
My goals for tomorrow:
- list 5 more items on Ebay
- Dust, hoover and clean bathroom.

Hi Becks, I have just come across your diary
I'll subscribe after I post this!! I'd love to be debt-free by the time I hit 30, but considering that is just over 6 months away for me it's very unlikely
Anyway, good luck on your journey! And yes, coffee shops are my weakness too  Do you have a Costa points card? If not, definitely get one as at least if you treat yourself to one then you'll get points for it and after a few spends you'll have enough for a free coffee

Quiet day again today, little one is still poorly and he has delightfully shared his germs with me!
It was another NSD :T I also sold some of the Make up I put on a Facebook site for a grand total of £7.50, every little helps though right!?
I received my pay check ready for Friday and it is how much I expected which is a rarity so that has put my mind at rest.
Tomorrow is up in the air as it looks like little one may have conjunctivitis so I am unsure weather his nursery will take him. I can't really afford to have any more time off but there's not much I can do.
I will update tomorrow,

Okay so the lurgy has well and truly beat us all, this week has been a write off!
On Thursday, Little one ran out of nappies and wipes so we headed to Aldi to stock up. I ended up spending £16.50 which was more than planned
Friday was Payday :j I paid £283.88 off my Halifax CC which brings that down to £4,300, I love a round number. The Halifax card is still over the limit by £300 so I want to get that paid off as soon as possible. I also put £45 into the Santander account to cover the overdraft fees and charges, it makes me feel sick paying the banks all this money- although it does make me more determined to pay it all off.
Todays goals-
- Have a NSD
- List 5 items on Ebay

Back with an update
I was back at work Sunday, Is spent £4.70 in Tesco. I was still feeling quite poorly so brought some medicine, tissues and a couple of slow cooker sachets as they were BOGOF.
Monday was again a work day, I was supposed to be posting my EBay items but the post office was closed as they were on strike. I then walked to Primark to return some stuff I brought before the money saving stuck in, unfortunately I have lost the receipt so no refund for me! I ended up spending £4 in Superdrug as I ran out of time to make the porridge I had brought for my lunch! Bit of a fail. I did sell 5 items on EBay last night so now have an extra £15 to pay off the Halifax CC :j
My EBay fees were cheaper than what I had budgeted so I am going to treat myself to getting my eyebrows done as I start my new job next week!
Day off today and tomorrow so my plan is:
- ring EE to reduce phone bill
- EBay 10 items
- walk to the bank to pay money off CC
- [STRIKE]Write a meal plan for the week [/STRIKE] DONE
