It's dynamic pricing which has nothing to do with actual costs, the focus is revenue streams.

You believe that your comment was that good that you said it twice. :)

In answer to both your posts, You obviously have no clue as to how a business model works as it is all about profits and if they have lots of claims going through which at present they have the actual costs are passed onto new bookings, Just look at the motor insurance industry and we all per head to cover legit and false claims, Now with that in mind if you are adamant that we are not passed on any further costs here then carry on thinking that in your fluffy cloud like thoughts, To me it is common sense here that we will all pay for both claims being made at present in abundance and the sliding pound.

Motor industry insurance isn't dynamic pricing!

I received €250 compensation this year from an airline, I can fly for £39.49 with said airline for a 2hour flight, how are they passing the compensation amount on?

It's about dynamic pricing, your argument is for fixed price situations i.e. Price for one pint of milk in a shop, the two situations are completely different.

    Yes it has.

I was contemplating booking a flight on Malaysia Airlines website but was debating how to incorporate it into an existing trip.

After half an hour or so, I decided to book the flights and lo and behold, the flights had doubled in price. I closed Chrome and used IE to check the prices again and sure enough, the original price was there so I booked it.

I was always a little sceptical about cookies making a difference, but it seems it does - well certainly for MH's website anyway.
  • The price isn't confirmed until you book.

Actually the price isn't confirmed until the ticket is issued. :D
