Morning PF glad you had a good holiday!
ziggy hope your dh is ok x
Maria congratulations! Grandchildren are such a blessing x
Not sure what I'm up to today as not feeling 100% with this cold. I've been invited to a friend's tonight as some girlfriends are getting together for drinks and fun times and I'd like to go but I am the worst patient! Will see how I feel later on... If I do go it'll be the cost of a bottle of wine and some chocolate
House is relatively clean and tidy as oh did it yesterday so just a bit of a tidy and clean of the bathroom needed
* be good to go for a walk later if we're all up to it
* finally today I am making the bath comforters!
*knitting some of my socks (haven't done any all week!) need to get a move on if I'm going to make a pair for madam for christmas!
*[STRIKE]submit meter readings[/STRIKE]
* check meal plan and get things out of the freezer for today & tomorrow
* update spending diary
* [STRIKE]check cc statement it should be issued for this month[/STRIKE] Whoop! for the 1st time EVER I have managed to keep a spending diary for the whole month and it reconciles with my cc statement! :j I did go £8 over my budgeted pers allowance but I can live with that!
* photo some things for fleabay
* have a whole bowl of tomatoes that need using up - will make a sauce and freeze
* also need to do something with several kilos of apples
That's all I can think of! Going to have some paracetamol and hope I feel better! Happy Saturday guys xDF as at 30/12/16

I've breakfast in bed today; it's my non working day and I have a week off work. Whoop! Feeling rather lazy but will get up soon and start on my list for today:
- shopping list
- book hotel for Christmas week - we usually go away rather than buy each other presents. So DH's present sorted!
- postcode lottery
- check ipoll
- check MR apps
- shopping list. We're going to stay in a camping pod for 3 nights so will need to factor that in.
- I've put some money aside for half term spends however some will need to be set aside because I'll need 2 new tyres soon.
- I keep saying it for a few weeks now, but need to update my Christmas list. I don't buy for many, Children and a couple of secret santas at work, DH sorted (above) so should be straight forward
- going into Poundland today to see if I can the £1 (obviously!) Peter Rabbit Calander for my sis
- tidy and clean. Continue to sort out paperwork and space in my spare room which is also my eBay/birthday present/Christmas stash
- continue my total cash back Halloween comp obsession. Got a broom stick today.
Have a good day all.
Happy Friday LP x
Morning all
Managed to do some of these things yesterday but some will roll over to today. Really happy that I've managed to book a hotel in the Lakes and got 4 nights of the price of 3.
I hoovered my car yesterday and plan to wash it today rather than take it to the car wash.
Couldn't find the calander so might pop to another Poundland today whilst calling into a supermarket and doing an MR and getting few bits.
MR at a shop on the way to cinema. Will book tickets online through work site which will give me a few pounds off.
Bumped Facebook posts, entered 2 comps.

Good Morning All
Thanks for all your well wishes regarding DH, 12 years ago he was told he had narrowing and a blockage and they have just treated with medication, no follow ups or anything but this last year he's been struggling so GP has been trying extra meds and then as he has gone as far as he can he referred DH to hospital so at last we feel we are getting somewhere. Obviously the angiogram will decide which treatment is next so we're just waiting now for a date but he seems less pensive. Today's list:

- Check bank accounts
- Surveys/Swagbucks
- Continue watching my boxset
- Watch the football at 12.30 as it's on TV

Afternoon all,
Its a lovely sunny day here but as its the first day of our holidays we are having a day at home chilling
So today's list consists of
* ys bagels for breakfast from the freezer
* Watched last nights Emmerdale & corrie in bed (to keep warm) on my phone with my headphones in whilst dh watched breakfast news
* 2 loads of washing done & hung on the line
* DH is playing with his new toy, a 10+yr old camera that someone has given him. Some lovely pics of the kids taken already.
* Lunch is going to be a fridge/freezer dive Kids sharing a small ys pizza with spinach/carrot/pepper & cucumber on the side to nibble on.[STRIKE] Dh not hungry yet so still got to come up with something he'll fancy![/STRIKE] We had a fish finger sandwich each, comfort food at its best!.
* Tonights tea is planned, we are having a movie time with the kids and I've got a couple of Chinese selection box things from Mr T's with spring rolls, prawn toast etc in. Spent £4 which is a lot cheaper then a take away would be.Followed by leftover vienetta from kids friends being over last night
* Film from our stash or net/amaz for free entertainment Harry potter again, kids wanted to watch it as we are going to the studio tour in a few weeks which is part of their xmas pressies
* Going to make a batch of peanut butter cookies with the kids - not going to add any sugar (so that dh will try them) and will add some oats into the mix instead They're ok and dh did have some, kids weren't keen as they weren't sweet
* Minimum heating on as we have blankets etc, will also light my yankee candle later that we were given a few years ago.
* Hopefully a nsd, so long as I can distract dh from the fact we don't have any of the coffee that he likes left until the delivery comes tomorrow!!:eek:
* Rm survey - got a notification that my time on there is coming to an end but may be invited back in 6 months time. This is the 2nd time I've done it but not sure that I'd do it again tbh
* Order record player for kids from amaz0n - this doesn't affect nsd as it is money that the grandparents have sent for the kids for xmas for this item.
* Showed dh the pressies I've picked up this week for the kids and checked that we have plenty of wrapping paper & xmas cards (bulk bought in January 2013!)
* Diced and froze 3 peppers that were going soft in the fridge, these are great for grabbing a handful to go in spag bols or chilli etc
* Ironed clothes that needed it straight off the line and hung near radiators to finish off when they're on for 30mins in the morning
* Got the kids to do a sheet of their homeworks each - determined not to leave it til the last minute!
.
Right I'm off as its time for a :coffee:
Have a lovely weekend all.

Hello Saturday Savers,
Not much of a list from me but here it is, for what it's worth:
*Picked fresh herbs from garden.
*Baked rosemary & thyme soda bread for lunch.
*Should have been visiting family today & eating there but I haven't been feeling too brilliant so postponed it for another time. Going to treat ourselves to a very rare Chinese takeaway. And guess how we're paying for it? From the £20 UNDERSPEND on this month's grocery budget!! (How I wish I'd discovered budgeting at 24 instead of 44!)
*Start new knitting project....a pretty thrift project to use up all my oddments of sock yarn. I finished Sissy in law's present last night....only half a gift to knit now.
*Entered 2 competitions.
*Tax rebate forms arrived for me to reclaim the tax paid by the bank to HMRC on my PPI settlement. Looks as clear as mud.
*Mr F outside giving the car a big valet inside & out.
*No heating on yet. Was slightly chilly yesterday evening but popped a hwb behind my back & was toasty in no time.
*Sold 3 more small ebay items. It's slowly adding up. Aiming for £100 in paypal before cashing out. Only selling declutered low value items at the moment.
*Added gifted recycled jars/lids to my stash.
*Started another charity bag. Decluttering going quite well.
Have a good weekend all......Oh, & just a heads up that Aldi has trays of 12 tins of tomatoes for £1.99......that's less than 17p a tin. 1 tray already in our pantry. May get another.

just booked 2 ms assignments for next week making £39 after expenses. I've set myself a target of earning £50pm extra by whatever means so only need £11 for the rest of the month
Going to snuggle up on the sofa and dose....DF as at 30/12/16

Evening all
Spent most of the day visiting DS, took down the washing machine we had for him. It was nice to see him, difficult times at the moment that I can't talk about hereGave him a bit of money towards groceries, and the grandchildren a bit of pocket money... well, that is why I do all the moneysaving stuff, to be able to help them out when they need it
So not altogether a moneysaving day. The washing machine (bought s/h from a charity) worked fine, so that is all good
Other than that:
Posted off 2 ebay items
Sold 2 more (so far) that will have to wait till Monday
Made quince /mint jelly
Took a huge shepherds pie made yesterday plus veg from the freezer down to DS - OH had suggested a takeaway for lunch, but I nipped that one in the bud! All plates scraped clean, so it was appreciated
Walked dog for free exercise, though he wasn't that bothered as he had been rushing about all day with DS's dog
Put garden chairs away in the garage, together with a stepladder and a camping table that seem to have taken up residence in the conservatory - I need to clear a bit more space to make room for the garden table
Got out various bags etc to put garden waste into - the compost bins are full and DH is going to the tip for something else this week, so he can take the garden rubbish too
Taken some blackberries out of the freezer as I found a recipe for a blackberry tray bake that I like the sound of - I will make it tomorrow, when I have the oven on anyway to make a meat pie for dinner
Did a survey for Pinecone - I have been a member for years, and get £4 per survey - I understand more recent members get less than this. One advantage of being old I guess!
Now sitting by the fire... got the preserving pan soaking, so I must get up and wash that in a minute!0
