    Afternoon all,

Today's weather is lovely so after mr T's delivery this morning we went for a long walk with the kids via the library to collect some books we'd ordered. Certainly blew the cobwebs away.

Hello Clf, nice to 'see'you back

    Today's list
    * ys bagels again for breakfast
    * ys bread for toasted sandwiches for lunch
    * Got a kids party this afternoon so pressie & card out from the stash
    * Washing done on the quick wash and its hung on the line outside.
    * Got the kids to do more of their homeworks -I mustn't leave it to the last minute!

Not much of a list there is it really??!! sorry

    Afternoon Campers,
Relaxing sort of day.....feeling much better than I have the last few days. Think I was struck by a combination of IBS & eating something bad. Thank goodness for Immodium (well, the own-brand one third of the price equivalent) is all I can say!! So today:
*Leftover herby soda bread I baked yesterday for my lunch & mr f has nabbed the last piece for his lunchbox tomorrow along with an elderly portion of chicken soup we found in the freezer.
*Wrapped 2 ebay parcels & re-listed 10 items. Checked paypal & we have £78 in there from ebay sales. Haven't sold anything over £1.50 for ages, so doesn't that just show how it all adds up?
*Washer loaded for cheap overnight laundry.
*Energy meters read & spreadsheet updated. This week, we used 15 units of night-time rate electricity. The same week last year, we used 51 units.....that's the difference between no heating on & putting a couple of upstairs storage heaters on very low. Haven't even had the lounge fire lit yet, but that time will arrive very soon, I'm sure.
*Wrote my job list for tomorrow. It's a long one, but shan't need to think about it now until I've had my breakfast & 2 cups of coffee.
*Not an NSD. Popped to local farm shop to get some meat. Have got last minute guests this week so have had to tweak meal plans. Decided to use slow cooker & make plenty so have got enough to freeze. While there, spotted that butcher had ham hocks for £2 each. £2? I can get 3 meals for two out of that, possible a sandwich, as well as using the bone for ham stock to use for lentil soup. Bought one to freeze. Would have bought 2, but no room in freezer. Booo!
*Did a few surveys. Very close to cash-in on Ipsos.
*Knit. Think I've bored you with this already, but I have lots of odds & ends of self-patterning sock-yarn left over & I've started knitting it up into small mitred squares which I shall crochet together with a background colour...(prob black) to make a blankie to go over the back of the sofa for chilly nights. 10 squares knitted (knat?) already. Real thrift project as it's using up even tiny scraps which are only big enough to do a single stripe, so lovely to upcycle them all instead of chucking.
*Two baths from one tub of hot water.....(but the person who goes in second is allowed extra bubbles, lol !)
CLF - How nice to have you back!! I was only thinking of you the other day & wondering how you were doing (I was baking apple & cinnamon scones, I don't know how that was relevant!)
    Right......yarn-time.

    Evening all,

Kids party done and we've just finished off the last of the Chinese style nibbles from last night. Kids pudding was fruit and they shared the party bag sweets.
Now time to watch the end of Harry Potter from our dvd stash before they have an early-ish night as they're going on an adventure day tomorrow without us.
Whilst they're out we're planning on finishing off the last few bits of xmas shopping and maybe treat ourselves to lunch out. :D
