Thank you all for your caring and kind thoughts.

Glad I did the list last night. Feel quite drained. But I have been on 3 errands on three different 'retail parks' in a sensible loop. Going to turn in shortly, just got to put the bin out.

More hugs for Valli and sister.

Not sure I did much on list, but busy all day.
    - Emptied DW and put away.
    - Did a bit more of a report.
    - more emails to sort out, lots of work booked
    - ordered more assessment paperwork, yikes the price has gone up. Bad words to copyright regs; I know someone has had to develop and test all the materials, but really infuriating that you have to buy several booklets per student costing up to £3 each and sometimes only use 2 pages out of 8.
    - Renewed my Data Protection registration
    - Had flu jab
    - assessed a student

Came home to dinner cooked by Mr N and managed to zip into Ald1 before our dance class. They did the tango last week when we missed the class

Tomorrow a student 1:1 session in the am, followed by an assessment and pick up MIL on the way home to take her to eye clinic.

Much love to you, your sister and all the family, Valli - it must be so worrying for you all. Thoughts and prayers continue x

Well done to the young Moos :T :T

So pleased you have a date for the builders, Dizzy. You'll soon be out of that caravan!

Despite not expecting to get much flying done this week, I got the urge to clean this morning :D I dusted, wiped, hoovered and steam cleaned as appropriate in the DR, LR and kitchen, did WMx3 and stripped and re-made our bed. I also had a meeting locally with my course supervisor, made my decision on which assignment to tackle, dropped DH off for his BSL class, drove over to college (45 mins each way from his venue), collected some books to read during half term week, and then went back to fetch DH. The study is a bit less of a tip than it was before the weekend, but not much - that is my mission for tomorrow, between Dr's appointment for DH, coffee with a friend at our favourite GC, and a meeting with someone 45 min drive away (in the opposite direction from college) in the afternoon. DH's mates from the wargames club committee are meeting here in the evening, so I shall be banned to the study anyway - no excuse for not getting it done!

Must get to bed... early start tomorrow, compared to this mornings breakfast at 9.20 :o

Plenty of (((hugs))) spoons and sticks to go round x

Good morning ladies! Another early one for me, but hey ho!

So sorry to hear about your sister Valli. You must all be so worried. Here's hoping they can make her comfortable and that the surgery will be successful. Sending loads of virtual support to you and your family xxx

Lots to organise today, including instructions and quote requests to builders for additional works and research for materials needed. Did I mention my builders have offered me a job? :rotfl: My super-picky, everything in writing to the 'nth' degree approach must have impressed them lol. It does help that I've worked for a building company and aluminium extruder in the past, so am reasonably familiar with site lingo (rude as well as technical ;) )

Small announced yesterday that he's put himself up for the School Council  He's already been voted onto the Eco Committee. Do I have a budding politician in the making? He says he has lots of good ideas for people to hear. I can feel my involvement in school life beginning to increase...._pale_....

Dizzy remind small he would have to represent his classmates, which will mean listening to them and taking their ideas to meetings. It's probably by vote, so he may not get chosen.

    Not slept well.

    Done a WM

Well done to the Bossy clan

  • Flying visit from me, but I wanted to say how pleased I am for Dizzy - it is lovely to hear you so happy. You will be out of that caravan in no time my lovely xx

    Valli - huge hugs xx
    Bossy - well done mini-moos x

I am dog tired and full of cold. October has been a pretty carp month and I shall be glad to see the back of it. Half term starts tomorrow and me and the kiddies are going to the holiday house in Wales for a much needed change of scene - DH has to work sadly, but needs must. Seems everyone is working really hard at the moment, so I am sending big hugs all round.

Best get the small people ready, have lovely days all x

That happened to me, when I had this house almost completely rebuilt around us (at least, that's what it felt like at the time! - by the time I'd had all the alterations done, every room had to be replastered).

Well done Small for wanting to be an activist. Having met him, I am not entirely suprised - he can talk for Wales, and there's a great deal of good sense in his head :)

    More (((hugs))) for Valli.

I've taken DH to the Dr this morning for his blood test results. One blood test to be repeated to check that it wasn't a fluke, and a referral to the TIA man. Good that things are being checked.

Hope everyone has a good day and that the snufflers are beginning to feel better. Spoons to LW and anyone else who needs them x

That was a well earned gush, Bossy and thank you for sharing it. Life can be so hectic it's sometimes hard to remember to celebrate the victories. You have a lot to be proud of with the Mini Moos.

I'm so sorry your sister is really going through it at the moment, Valli. (((Hugs))) for both of you.

I think the cold has been vanquished, so I might start clearing up some of the gibble that seems to have accumulated again while I wasn't firing on all cylinders. At least I've driven the new to us car for the first time since the test drive, so that's one Frog dealt with. Must dust ....
    Better is good enough.
