Maybe he's still wrong? How can you be sure?

When the BoE chief economist puts his hand up and admits they got it wrong, isn't it time MSE remainers did likewise?
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.

This chief economist looks a bit like an expert.
The whole premise of this thread is not to trust experts.
Can you guys make your mind up? :rotfl:
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Jeeze, you guys will twist any argument to the enth degree.

Have you not the grace to admit we had a point that one must be highly cautious when it comes to Economists? We endlessly warned you about their poor record but you had fingers in ears.

You lot fell for project fear hook line and sinker and relentlessly told us all the experts were on your side.

The fact some Economists are owning up to their errors is a good start

You refused to recognise Treasury modelling merely reflected the political narrative of the day. Why would do this?

How do you know Andy Haldane isn't merely reflecting the political narrative of the day so he doesn't get 'Cameroned'?

I would've thought you'd be more likely to think that than start believing an economist was suddenly correct for no other reason than you agree with one of his utterances.

I thought Inception was a complicated plot until I discovered economists are always wrong unless they say they're wrong then they're right.

BBC Business Breakfast briefing on Tuesday morning headlined with the presenter asking in a cheerful matter of fact manner whether the EU would at long last see some welcome inflation increase and hit it's 2% inflation target.

Appalling corruption and post-truth 'news' in action. If this was a UK inflation rising story, the delivery would have been grave, portentous and linking it all to Brexit 'worries about price rises'

    Very true that!

Lordy lord, you've twisted this one good and proper haven't you!

This is about the BOE chief economist saying they got things wrong.

Believing an economists statement based on past performance (though not sure you can believe a statement, but clearly you think you can so I'll roll with it) is very different to believing their future economic projections.

Theres only one thing to come from all this twisting and the lovely dance you're treating us all too - and that's proving the point that you will go out of your way to bury your head whenever you can.

If someone (say, Conrad and myself, for example) states for 8 months "they are wrong" and then "they" state "we were wrong", what else do you expect people (us) to say? Get a grip.

Wonder how Hamish & co will spin things as it becomes apparent trade wont be hampered and all is well. Cant wait.

Does the gloom club still want me to apologise for 'the damage done by Brexit'?

Not yet, as we haven't brexited yet.
But when we do and the damage becomes apparent, you're more than welcome to apologise, buddy.

Will French people like damaging their sales to us? Who benefits? Maybe they could start a little club - 'Damage our livelihood.com'.
