Hi,
Has any one had success getting a 0% credit card with previous late payments on credit file. No late payments on credit cards but a couple on bank account.
Debating weather to try and get a 0% card once default drops off in jan or as a last resort asking parents for a loan.
Thanks

I think it would depend on the particular lender.

balance transfer. currently paying £400 a month in minimum payments on some reasonably high interest credit cards. I am getting a wage increased so will have £600-700pm to throw at the debt. if it was at 0% we could get it gone in around 15 months.0 -
Have you tried the eligibility calculator - it's not a guarantee, but then no-one can give you a guarantee without applying.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. It's going back many years now, but I managed to get a loan, which I used to consolidate my debts (I know it was stupid
, but we live and learn), despite having had late payments on Credit Cards.
I would think your income to debt ratio would be a bigger concern.0 -

Provided you don't rent a mansion, I wouldn't think you would have much problem.
It's mostly down to how much you have left, after bills are paid.0 -
My guess is you would be OK. Try the eligibility checker first but it can be a bit cautious so it's still worth trying an application anyway
