    Maud/Maude?

Avoid names beginning with vowels just incase she gets married and it spells out something rude!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I have a long first name and so does my daughter - I chose Kay as it is my middle name too - short, slightly unusual (not heard anyone else called it for a long time) and not easy to spell wrong!

I have often had a "that's nice" comment on my daughters' middle name - can't say whether they meant it or not though!

My dd is Lily Mae Ashleigh (SURNAME). The middle names come from her great-grandma (Mae) then after her daddy's middle name (Female version of ASHLEY). She is sometimes called Lily Mae when 'mis behaving'. LOL

Also, I don't know if you are into the whole hyphenate name thing that is big at the moment, but there are so many, that I personally wouldn't choose a combo that sounds like it should/could be one of those eg the lovely "Emma-Leigh" (what's wring with Emily??) "Casey-rae" brood etc

My DD2 is Rose (1st name) which is pretty, very serviceable name- even if she is "rosie " to her mates:rotfl:

Rose is a lovely name -as a first name or as a middle name. I can't stand those hyphenated names. I recently heard two women in Tesco discussing what to buy for Sophie-Kate for tea, but they pronounced in such a way that it rhymed with Suffocate!

My sister is Anne (my Dad's choice as my Mum said it sounded like the 'other' word was missing, such as Anne egg or Anne orange lol!)

I like Bob. You could pretend it was short for Barbara, maybe?

I thought Bob was short for Kate (Black Adder)!:rotfl:
