My kids do take pride in there appearance.
Yeah that's why your "daughter" wears fakes uggs to school with your permission :rotfl:
No offence OP but you really seem to have a thing for posts about school uniforms it's getting a little peculiar :lipsrsealFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -

I'd heard of a school uniform fetish but I thought it meant something entirely different.;)0 -
We've been round this discussion before:There is nothing wrong with it there not braking the schools rules

To summarise:
It's not about 'braking' (sic) the school's rules.
It's about damage to your child's feet.0 -

Maybe I'm a nostalgic oldphart, but in my secondary technical school from 1956 to '61, we all wore black blazers, white shirts, dark grey or black trousers and ties. The school was a bunch of Nissen huts, being an ex-German POW camp, but the education that I received there prepared me for 3 technical careers and several engineering qualifications. And that is what should concern every parent about the school: is my child getting a good education? The fact is that the schools with the kind of discipline that uniform encourages, are the ones which give children the best education.
Discipline is what is lacking in life today. I don't mean the discipline that is enforced physically, I mean the discipline that comes from knowing where the borders of behaviour are. Teaching self-discipline to a child is the best favour you can give them to map out the rest of their lives. Look around you in your area. How many adults, never mind their kids, never learned self-discipline?
I am going to receive some negative replies about this I know, but I am right. My kids and grandkids are living proof.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
