Morning all. Just about to start the paid stuff. Hugs etc where needed.
I have managed the dailies and two washloads, and dusted the dusty bits in the LR, although an electrician is now here, so will probably need to do it again.

    Have a great day everyone.

Lugged tank support down out of attic, glued laminate edging back on and it fits perfectly where I wanted it to go.
Everyone's deserted the house now so going to have a HHC (or two) with the gloss.

Got the kids to school and pre-school, unloaded and reloaded DW, put WM on, took dog to vets, went to A*da for bits of food and also some bits for Christmas. Done some work admin for DH, and now collapsed with a cuppa, will crack on again shortly!

Left on Thurs in chaos, had a good weekend at mum's and have returned to chaos :(

Big hugs to FBO, Valli and CY - and quite a few more of you by the sound of it.
Notimetospare hope you enjoy zumba; I love it. Used to do it 3 times a week but apparently our gym thought it was getting less trendy/well attended so there is only one class.

A very mixed task list today:
    - [STRIKE]have delivered village magazines[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]have watered pot plants/hanging baskets as all seemed very dry[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]have at least read through emails and marked several 'to do[/STRIKE]'
    - [STRIKE]one load of washing on[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]weekend bag half emptied (and yep; Mr N has finished his)[/STRIKE]

    Need to:
    - 3 reports to write up this week
    - 2 assessments booked so need to sort paperwork
    - need to sort post from last 4 days
    - dead head baskets/pots
-check new church rota to see what I'm meant to be doing
    - organise calendar as a lot seems to be in the planning stage between now and the C word, ranging from taking MIL to eye clinic, weekend by the sea, work, Xmas plans
    -deal with flagged emails
    - fill in pay claim form
    - fly round the kitchen

OK I'm not listing any more as a) it gets depressing and b) it takes time.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Hi all, I've been ill all weekend, and still tucked up in bed today so I'll probably just be lurking this week, hopefully I'll pick up near the end.
Did persuade BF to run the vacuum round and clean out one of the kitchen cupboards yesterday.

Ahhh, a nice hot cuppa and my feet up. Been a busy bee this morning with lots of chores done, plus I spent an hour in the attic room, which I've been dreading and is in-fact a major frog for me. I decluttered four dead mice from traps _pale_, two live (massive) hornets, a thousand million flies, which bizarrely were not near the mice, but clustered against the window, twenty tonnes of ancient cobwebs and a load of rat droppings  The mice and rats are starting to try to make winter homes for themselves (as were the hornets, me thinks) but I want to keep all the critters at bay so DH will be resetting the traps tonight and I'll be spraying more fly killer later.

I did stand up there looking around trying to envisage it's conversion into an ensuite bedroom, but the swags of dust laden webs were very offputting. It is a huge space and with our planned loft/roof room development, I think we could get three or four bedrooms with some bath/shower rooms on our top floor. Or a craft room, library, study, home cinema....ooh, exciting...

Oh, and the builders had a portacabin delivered and another plasterer came to look at the house, which hopefully means workcan start shortly.

Raphael hope you feel better soon
Dizzy the forthcoming work sounds very exciting

Painted for longer than planned, it's like ironing in that one I get started I find it very therapeutic and enjoyable (did I just actually admit that about ironing?..) anyway I've had to confine my paint brush to the turps for the day as any done this afternoon would still be tacky toninght
I've got two bedroom doors and their frames and a third coat on the airing cupboard door done this morning. About the same again to go plus attic hatch. Oh one of the doors I did this morning opens outwards onto the landing so I'll need to paint the inside of that as well.

Going to put some music on nice and loud and get cracking with the kitchen list now. HHC at 2.30 anyone?
