Do I still have to support him with Sobertober while he is asleep?

Absolutely not, given the week we have had a sneaky little drink is deserved. Personally I am raising a G&T to all flyladies past and present. I think CY would approve. Oh and thanks for passing on the idea about making a donation in her memory HB.

Fretting about DS1, I always get a bit like this when we have been to hospital. He is doing a double shift today so at least 9 hours at work. At least he had the sense to come home and make himself a proper meal between shifts.

LW the whole thing of juggling benefits of meds vs side effects is tough isnt it? Keep that sofa warm till you feel a bit more with it.

No idea what tomorrow brings. Ready for my bed now really.
  • Just caught up with the thread as have been busy at paid stuff since Tuesday.

So sorry to hear about CY - my sympathies to he family. Just so pleased she was able to attend her daughters wedding. I will miss that little photo of Snape:sad:

Greenbee that song is so appropriate-made me sad and happy in equal measure

Morning all. Quiet on here. Hope all is well with everyone.

Lodgers are working exceptionally long hours at the moment, 10 - 10 every day this week so far, which is very unusual. Even worse, today, one of them is defo going to be doing 9am - 11 pm and that's if all goes well, which is unlikely. Have changed the superking for her and if they don't already have plans for their day off we'll invite them to join us for Sunday lunch along with the nice neighbours.

I'll get a couple of loads through the WM today and pegged out. The forecast is excellent for the whole of next week but that also means I'm going to have to continue to water pots. Strange weather.
    Better is good enough.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok this morning and that candles were lit and drinks had as appropriate.

I have a few days off the paid stuff but no real plans which is lovely. Today I have taken LittleyDog for her walk and done an online shop. Once I drop DH off at work later, I will be going to get some basics at h0me bargains and will also be getting my hair cut.

Going to do the ironing next which I didn't find time for yesterday, probably because it's headache day no 7.

Hope you all have an enjoyable Saturday, whether flying, having fun with your families or just keeping cosy on the flylady sofa.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Hi all :)
It's very good to be back - I was JennyJewell......couldn't work out to get back onto that account - think my email for that is now non-existent?!

Firstly just wanted to say I'm so sorry to hear about cyclingyorkie :( Much love to all x

Looking forward to getting stuck into sorting my house out with help and support from you guys as well as giving my support to all x

Are there any plans for Saturdays please?
    Many thanks x
  • DH is staying up his father's tonight - DH's mum is in hospital with blockages in her stomach and DH's father is also just recently battling cancer himself....we have some big fights ahead of us I feel. While DH is at his father's tonight I want to get stuck into this place................it doesn't help the situation but it's something less for DH to worry about, will be nice for him to come home to and it's just one way I can help x

Welcome back crafty xx sorry to hear life is so challenging at the mo xx

I have bickering children. Both denying tiredness, both exhausted really, how do you make 6&7 yr olds rest?

They are just finishing lunch and we are going to pop out for some daffodil bulbs. There is also a pet shop on the same estate so we might go look at Guinea pig supplies

Ps LW, what did you do that could have burned the house down? Brain fog removing vibes coming your way x
We have a microwave/convection combi oven, and I put something in to heat up using the microwave, that was definitely NOT suitable for heating in a convection oven, and instead of pressing Microwave and setting it to 40 seconds, I pressed Convection and set 40 minutes. Thankfully I realised after about a minute and a half, when I thought "that's a bl00dy long 40 seconds - should've gone "ding" by now, surely". Scared me, though.:( Often I put something on to hot up for 30/40 seconds, go into another room, and forget all about it. If the micro is set correctly, it doesn't matter, it'll just turn off; but this had the potential for disaster.:eek::eek:

Welcome home CraftyPixie; sorry to hear DH's parents are having a rough time. We only have actual lists for weekdays; weekends are for catching up if you've fallen behind, or for doing your preferred things if you've managed to keep up to scratch throughout the week (or you simply cba to catch up ;) ).
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Glad you didn't burn down LW. My Dad left the hob on when I was there last week and I didn't notice even though I thought it was hot because their td was on nearby so thought it was that. Luckily my Mum spotted it.

Welcome back CraftyPixie (you were the first flylady to reply when I joined :) )

I'm back from the dance studio. 2x wm outside but I don't think they are drying. I'm now dusting a great amount of Lego models. I'm thinking about buying a display cabinet so I don't have to do them so often.

Ds2 is playing Mario racing with one of his befrienders in the living room and DH is asleep upstairs.

Airing cupboard emptied and clothes put away and ironing basket filled.

Fridge freezer outside cleared of magnets and paintings etc. ( new one is arriving on Tuesday)

    Hope everyone is ok x
