Helen Lodge, Cycling Yorkie's daughter, has posted the following on Facebook:

'My mum had 2 charities that she wanted to support, one of those is St Leonards hospice who do an absolutely amazing job at providing comfort and support for the terminally ill. The other charity is cancer research because if one day they can find a cure for this horrible disease then no one would have to suffer the heartache like we have. Thank you'

These are the links for anyone who wants to donate:

This link ^^^ may not work (it doesn't on my laptop) but if you go to the St Leonard's website, finding the page is very straightforward. Apparently the number of people trying to find it is causing problems.

Thank you for the link Honeybear, both very worthwhile causes.

Bossy while I had the undercoat out doing the attic bits I've found myself washing down sanding and u/c ing the kitchen doorframe and attached skirtings- well it was just too tempting. Can't gloss or do the lounge door till next week when it has all day to dry but it will all be done before Christmas.
Plan to gloss attic bits this afty and wash all landing walls down

    Going to work now

Patchwork quilt ironed and now airing before being wrapped as a birthday present for newish neighbour. Pear and apricot chutney made. House tidied, bed remade with clean stuff. Floor looks rather good for once.
    Better is good enough.

Kitchen frame glossed (ok I admit a bit of an obsession is creeping in now) hall and landing walls washed down -I've actually found the emulsion used for them so touch ups may also be done.
Not sure how long I can get away with standing grinning at paintwork do I'm going to wash the kitchen windows now and run the dyson round.

Tonight the lads are out so DVD and wine o'clock with Dh me thinks.

Have a lovely weekend all - I will light another candle tonight and send love and coping vibes to CYs family

Back from visit to GP; Gabapentin has been removed from my list of meds; it was worth a try, we've concluded, but the side-effects outweigh the benefits by a significant amount.

The dogs were very good, considering we were late with their walk and dins (GP was running late) - they've now been walked and fed, and we're just waiting for the pizza (HM of course) to cook for our dins.

I fear Flying this week has been flip. flap, FLOP.

I shall be doing a lot of sofa-sitting (gods, I do miss CY on the virtual sofa) til the Gaba gets out of my system - considering one of the errors I made through the increased brainfog could potentially have burned the house down!!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Evening all,

Thanks for the link HB, very good causes.
No flying today, just the paid stuff, then dropping DD1 at her friends for a sleepover, then we visited OH's stepmum in hospital, then back home with a naughty takeaway. OH is trying to do Sobertober. I'm "supporting" him. Boo. We have got a new mattress today (not before time). He and DD2 went to see how comfy it was at half past eight, and they are now both snoring. Do I still have to support him with Sobertober while he is asleep?
  • Ps LW, what did you do that could have burned the house down? Brain fog removing vibes coming your way x
