Credit rating/ payment day late/ mortgages

Me and my partner are in the process of saving for a deposit and have spent sometime getting credit reports in spotless condition.
Unfortunately tonight my gf has logged on to her Very account and realised she is one day late with a BNPL from 12 months ago purchase. They have charged £128 interest immediately. She's now paid the bill, interest included.
Now the cost is obviously ridiculous but that's not my main concern - has this just screwed up all our hard work and we're back at square one and six years wait due to being one day late?
If I have to pay £100+ for being a day late then I'll have to live and learn but the idea this has screwed up a house purchase terrifies me.

It's one late payment - not a CCJ.
Check your files in a month to see it is appears. You may have got lucky. If it does, it will lose its impact the older it gets.0 -
It depends which date in the month they report to the CRAs.
One day late, you will probably be scrape through by the skin of your teeth, but £128 is an expensive lesson.
As advised, check your/their file in a month or so.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. If you can't be the best -
Just be better than you were yesterday.0 -
Main concern is has she learnt from this experience and use a calender to make a note when payments need to be made by eg 4 days before.
your credit rating isn't seen by lenders just yourself so don't worry about it dropping.
Depends what leeway Very use, 1 day late they might not bother reporting it, keep an eye on your files and see if it gets reported.0
