No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries October 2016

I've not managed to use up much makeup so far so I've done a make-up bag just with a few things. I can change this over once in a while so I can rotate products. I currently have:
Nivea Daily Essentials Tinted Moisturising Day Cream 50ml
Gold by Giles Eye Shadow Quad
P.S. Illuminate Skin Brightening Cream 50ml
Barry M eyeliner
MUA Pro-base Eye Primer 7.5ml
Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Waterproof Mascara 9.6ml
L'Oreal Paris Glamshine Reflexion in Sheer Pitaya.
The good thing about this is that I have everything set out ready for the morning. How's everyone else getting on with make-up?
Slow! I've done a similar thing and put into a makeup bag ones I want to prioritise using. I've been good at not having non essential makeup 'ins' though. Currently trailing lots of different foundation samples as I kind of back tracked on replacing my HG one and wanted to try something new. Slightly putting off buying the one I think I want....0 -
Another TA from my bathroom tidy:D
Remainder of 30g pot Shea Butter – smells stale (old and got lost at back of a drawer). 3/4
A few empty pots and small containers also released, I have a thing about keeping some (far too many) for decanting into for travel or when a pump or dropper bottle ceases to work anymore. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I do that too! The little pots companies decant samples into..... So pointless keeping as many as I have!0 -

Lou85- im really sorry to hear about the outcome re. Your OH's job
seems its too easy these days for employers to get away with treating people unfairly. I know what you mean about tribunals, if i am dismissed i imagine i will have to move on too, hence im applying already, its probably going to be too expensive to take them to tribunal unless i can get it no win no fee but finding someone to take it on will be hard. Solicitor mentioned it can sometimes be covered under home insurance but we have only just moved and it depends on what our insurance covers us for as we had to change from directline to a small specialist company as this house has been previously flooded :-/ i dont really know about insurance so no idea. I hope the job interview went well for your OH.
Houseplant26 - thats a good idea re. University jobs. Theres a college round here ive applied to. Just a case of keeping trying and waiting to see if i hear back from anything. Even some interview practice would be a good start as i havent had an interview in ages as ive been in the same job for so long.
I have some GAs which i shall count as UU as they are still going from stash, im sending some parcels to a couple of friends who like lush.

Deleted_User - yep am getting staturory sick pay, its not a lot compared to my normal wages and doesnt even cover my rent that i pay my mum but its something i guess. I just want to be in work. Yep i did used to work in health records, it was a temporary position as they didnt have enough funding to keep us all on for longer than that
. Ive been applying for other jobs in NHS at hospitals round here but so far not heard anything. Been rejected by 2 supermarkets too :-/ my GP wants to see me before she sends the letter back to my employers that they requested from her about my ability to work and her take on it, so will see whether we get anywhere with her input. They sent me a rather rude and sarcastic in tone letter the other day about how i had advised them i would pick up my sick note and post it in, which i did, but that they were waiting for it and until they recieved it it would be on my records that i was unauthorised to be absent from work. Funny that because i havent been given any shifts to go in for, any suitable work to do, i have a grievance dispute in progress and i had told them that my sick note had been extended and also my GP had advised them that she is unhappy for me work where they had sent me to. Sick note was in post to them. I dont know how i can be absent from work i havent been given, but there you go :-/ if they would give me work i could physically do and give me some shifts to do i would be there! Im a bit annoyed my record currently looks bad when i havent been working because they made it impossible for me to do so.
Ohh and i have a christmas penguin though i dont think i actually smelled it instore just bought it as it was cute. May have to get it out to smell if its olive branch!
I had a TA almost a UU today- sorting out garage and found a hair mask id nearly finished at old house. Only had a small amount in but it smelled horrible so i binned it. Avon naturals chamomile & aloe hair mask - WBA as it normally smells lovely and does the job well. It had just been open for too long and sat in a storage container then a garage for months didnt help.
I found my bath & body works hand washes too today whilst sorting out. Was so excited to find them. I pulled out winter candy apple for downstairs bathroom and toasted coconut & vanilla for upstairs. Love the bath & body works ones.
Hi Gemzie, It seems really stupid of your employer to state you could be marked as unauthorised absentee whilst the grievance process is going on.
Just a thought if you are applying for NHS jobs : does your local NHS Trust take on Bank staff? It's the term they give to temporary positions in the NHS. Temp work may not be what you are looking for but if they have any positions suitable for you it will help financially and could lead to a permanent position.
I too love Bath and Body works. Wish they would open stores in the UK.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Lou85 sorry to hear your OH lost his appeal. Sadly, as Gemzie is experiencing tribunal proceedings do take so long to resolve and are very stressful. Not good when you are expecting your baby too. Good luck with your birth xx
The carpet is finally back down in the living room and we start painting next weekend. Yay.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Gemzie, it's worth looking at your home insurance to see what legal cover you have.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

A pretty big IN for me today and thoroughly prepared to have my hand slapped! I bought the hair and beauty advent calendar from my local Sally Salon (in my defence I walk past there every day and it kept looking at me through the window!). So that's 24 INs although I don't know what they are yet.
Sorry about the work troubles for you and yours Lou and Gemzie. It's a tough working environment out there. A small thing about universities though (I work for one), the majority of them have been hit as badly as the rest of the public sector and there's a lot of outsourcing of staff/cutbacks so it's unrecognisable compared to a few years ago. I was horrendously bullied last year and found I had very little protection. But a job is a job! Hope things get better for you both soon."Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0
