Cheeky mare has just asked us if we received their ws! Told her we were not prepared to discuss anything without a judge present0

We won, we won!!
After about 5 minutes the judge struck it out. She said that she had our paperwork and the letter explaining that we hadn't received GS witness statement. She asked if this was still the case and I confirmed that it was. She also explained she hadn't received anything from GS either, at which point GS rep became very apologetic. The judge asked the rep what she was hoping for and explained to me that she might not need to hear my defence at all. The rep didn't really give an answer so the judge asked if she was pushing for an adjournment; at which point I got a bit nervous. The rep said she would be happy to adjourn if the judge was, so the judge applied some sort of test with three limbs (?) and that the test failed on the first limb.
The judge then went onto say that there was no excuse for GS not submitting the paperwork on time, especially as we as lay people had managed to do so. She had nothing from the claimant to examine and neither did we which put us at a disadvantage, but had given GS a considerable advantage given that they had a copy of our WS. She also pointed out that she didn't take too kindly to GS wasting the court's time, therefore she was striking it out.
With regards to costs, she would only allow us to claim for mileage and parking, which only came to a few quid, but she did round it up to a tenner. That said, I don't care as the whole thing went much better than I could have hoped for.
So that leaves me to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me, including your good luck messages as they really did help, especially the other week when I was having a bit of a meltdown and ready to just pay up.
Most of all, I would like to thank you, Coupon Mad. Your knowledge and your support has been more helpful than you could possibly know and I really do appreciate the time you have spent with me to get me through this. The words 'thank you' seem a bit lame, but I really do mean it and I will always be extremely grateful to you.
I'd love to know how much this has cost MB. It's a damn sight more than £1.50 that's for sure!
Well I managed to book the rest of the week off work, so tonight we intend on going out for a curry and getting absolutely wrecked!
Thank you all again0 -
Hahahahaha!!
This has made my day - just recovering from a bug and this is exactly what I wanted to read. Knew you could do it - another win!
Maybe it's time for a final 'Dear Charlotte' email to MB...ner ner ner ner ner...!!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don't know if there were any other parking cases I'm afraid. In fact we were only kept waiting 20 minutes as the courts were very quiet.
GS rep pretty much left the building the same time as we did, so I guess she'd done and dusted for the rest of the day.0 -

Ah I'm glad this has made you feel better and thank you for having so much faith in me!
I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about emailing Charlotte, but she'd probably threaten me with harassment or something. We know how dim and heavy handed she is. She's probably forgotten all about it and had numerous victims since. Or lost her job.0
