Not sure what the problem is, feeling queasy and sick (had dreams last night of throwing up which was fun) Back in bed now, BF is looking after me.

Hugs to those that need it ((( )))
Raphael - hope you feel better soon.
Yesterday and today were spend days but weekends usually are - yesterday I had to get sweets for DD to take to a sleep over that she only reminded me of at 10am!! DH brought Chinese for us and we had an adult only evening - not had one of those for ages!!
Today I have been to the supermarket to get shopping for the next week or so - loads of meat in the freezer still so not much room for much else. Will have to visit a supermarket again in about 2 weeks for more shopping.
Will make an effort to use up some bits and pieces from the freezer again this month.
My ferret dance for the weekend is because I have been tidying DS' bedroom - he is a filthy creature and now he has gone to Uni I have ventured in. I am doing little and often as it is quite overwhelming. I have taken photos as proof!!!
The plus to this tidying is that my cutlery drawer is full again but the downside is that my glasses cupboard is overflowing as I kept buying more glasses when we ran out after DS told me he had none in his room.
May have to donate some.....0 -
I'd like to join please!
Furrybeastoz- sorry to hear of your loss
Hugs to all that need them, lots of people unwell
So failed again last month as couldn't stop spending! Grrr
Definetely going to report in each day and track all spends.
Had a nice weekend so far, work weekend training and friends party. Spent quite a bit on work event though as round of drinks was £35 :eek::eek: but luckily it was on Friday so was last month!
So yest I spent £6 on food at services for lunch- hoping can claim this back from work (it was after an overnight stay so couldn't bring it with me). Then £1.60 on tonic water and soft drinks for the party.
Today I have spent £32 in mr T. Not too bad as £8 was on tights and socks and had to stock up on toilet roll, kitchen roll and large jar of coffee.
Also signed up to BT for fibre Internet as my deal is about to run out. All my guests seem to sit in their room streaming and my internet can't cope. So I have gone for fast unlimited. Will be £382 for the year but get £100 MasterCard and £100 cashback from quidco so not too bad overall
Today I'm going to put the garden to bed by tidying the shed and putting the furniture away. Will leave washing line up a bit longer though! Also need to clean the house so not exciting!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
My plans for the month:
NSDs - I lost track last month so plan to keep a note of them this month.
Extra cash – probably won't have much time but will continue to use cashback sites and search out bargains wherever possible.
Learn something new - hoping to try zumba - does this count?
Food budget - meal plan done for the month and first Mr T order arrived today. Aiming for no late night chocolate runs!
Lunch to work everyday - always do this.
Travel budget – again I always budget for this but have to drive to most places round here as it's so rural.
Healthy eating – up your fruit and veg. I'm rubbish at fruit in the colder months so will try really hard with this one.
Make a food bank donation will do this next week at our school harvest festival.
Exercise 5 times a week need to keep a record of this.
Regular check ins – will try to be better at this too!
I'm also adding a personal challenge - record something happy every day.
Sooo yesterday was the most spectacularly spendy day as I bought a car! Only paid the deposit so far though. This is quite significant as I've had car trouble since Feb and it's cost tons of £ and time driving back and forth to the garage half an hour away, not to mention stress and anxiety. New car has 1 year warranty and garage is about a mile away :j
We also failed badly in the 'no takeaways' rule as we had Costa coffee and cake AND takeaway for tea but this is because my kitchen looks like a bomb site while DH is tiling the floor. I can't even get in the fridge  This means healthy eating also went out of the window
In happy news - I had a whole day at home with DH and the dogs and it felt relaxed and cosy which was just what I needed

EE the reclaimed cutlery and glasses scenario is familiar to me - any bowls of something blue and fuzzy that is about to evolve into a new life form and wait till you find all the socks 'that he doesn't have' (average 27). Does you good to get it all out, though.
clippy_girl you have been added to the list.
ljaneyr Zumba is fine. I think you are allowed a takeaway when DH is tiling the floor. NSD today. Yay. Less said about race the better.
I'll see how my legs are tomorrow - I'm due to run with a friend, but we may go for a coffee. I'm going to be a bit kind to myself and allow Costa/Waitrose if it's with friends.
Definitely not a NSD tomorrow, but I have a list. I'm working Tues/Thurs this week. I have redone my budget in light of the changes this week.
Also, I will now have no excuse not to go to the running club on Tuesdays, and I obviously need to do the speedwork.
Have a good week everybody.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Evening all,
Time to set out my stall for the month...
DFD is to be January 1st 2017 :j :j I am working really hard on this at the moment and moving as much money as possible to pay off the debt and reduce spending. I put £5 less in my car this week (I top up every two weeks) and I am going to try and make it two weeks on £5 less so I can pay it off my debt.
I've already paid towards my debts, all minimums plus a bit of stretch and a bit extra.
Budgets are set and allocated, including all outings and expenses e.g. hair cut.
Today I have done a victory dance because I have batch cooked 6 extra portions of cottage pie and did 5 extra portions of lasagna yesterday
I will be claiming back some expenses and money for extra work, I am just awaiting the money coming in now.
I am going to a training session at work so that will be my something new as it'll take 2 hours.
I will be taking lunch to work everyday
I am not particularly looking to be eating healthily this month - this is my challenge for when I am debt free. I am however looking to keep going to my exercise class each week.
I will donate to a food bank next week.
Today was my first SFD tooLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
New roof and car £8557/£19003 New kitchen £396/£5039 Credit card Paid Student loan Paid0 -
I have followed these challenges for a few months now, and would like to join, please.
Set budget - payday was last week, all pending bills paid, added to savings, calculated other costs, discussed with dh.
DH is going to his African mother country for four weeks, so will only have two week's pay in Oct and Nov.
Extra cash - I'm an avid wombler (hi Bob!) and love getting things for freeAlready in October: €10 voucher to sports store through telecom loyalty points (Belgian programme), €1,50 paid to me to try out sm's storebrand coffee (combination of vouchers led to profit), free bottle sparkling water, free bottle specialty beer. I am unsure about selling things on internet, and am limited for time, so probably won't do that anytime soon.
Learn - I am learning at work, because due to budget costs they laid off some people and quite a bit of new-to-me work landed on my plate.
Food budget - we get a €7 meal voucher for every day we work (Belgian law) and can spend that on any type of food. We aim to do our monthly food shop with these vouchers. It comes to about €250 per month in total, for 2 adults and 2 kids. Now, this month, dh will not be here for two weeks, but my parents are coming to help out. My father has a habit of seeing the meal vouchers as free money, and spends on whatever he fancies, without checking with me or the pantry. DH needs spending money when he is away. He will be staying in the house that we built (so he can avoid paying the whole family's food for the month), but there will be a housewarming party (cultural, cannot really be avoided, and he wants to give it).
Eating out - church charity spaghetti dinner, ex colleague's hen night
Lunches - always brought from home, aim for 16/16
Travel - within village we cycle, will aim to use dh's company car with petrol card as much as possible for all other trips. I don't like the way it drives and prefer to take our own car.
Healthy eating - add more veg and fish to meals. I'm allergic to quite a number of fruits, but citrus is still fine.
Foodbank donation - see church charity spaghetti night, and I have ordered waffles that will lead to new picknick tables in the nursery playground.
Exercise - plan to join WI gym class on Mondays, and walk around our office building every lunch break (there is absolutely nothing else to do....)Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590
