    Hi MOT

I've been reading your thread since the beginning. Haven't posted until now as I haven't really felt like I've been able to contribute anything useful or be helpful in any way. However, when the board crashed I was worried about you over the weekend, and hoping your Friday meeting had gone well.

Glad to hear that there's still hope for you and your kids. You're fighting a difficult system and I really do wish you all the best. :)

I feel for you, old draughty houses can be a money pit where heating bills are concerned!
Just wondering if your landlord would tell the LHO the arrears are being sorted out & the eviction is due to the house sale only? It would be in his interests for the council to rehouse you asap too.

Not sure whether he would do this as his solicitor is involved and also the council HLO knows that the house sale has fallen through!

Received an email from my previous Drs surgery to say that he has been given info I sent him and that his sec will remind him of need to contact me asap - so fingers crossed.

Boy, did I miss you all at the weekend - it was made worse by I-T having to go away, he really didn't want to but with a 92 yr old father looking forward to his 4th holiday ( ) of the year he couldn't let him down.

Rog, you take as much pleasure as you look at LL's misfortune - we here at the cottages are!!:rotfl:

    Hi Floss,

Twins are lovely thanks! They went swimming yesterday with friends so were worn out and ready for an 'earlier' night last night as back at school today.

Still using nit comb to make sure there are no babies hiding away and loads of conditioner too!

DD just seen this message and is grinning like a Cheshire Cat at the compliment of being lovely:D

Hi mot - It COULD have been worse - at least no 'final' refusal and still a 'line of hope'.
However - it REALLY concerns me that the HLO is concentrating primarily on the financial side - it's almost, in my opinion, as if she needs to prove that your impending homelessness was purely of your own intent.
Hopefully the additional medical information WILL go in your favour.

    I'm not convinced - sorry.

    Hi rog2
you are right the housing officer is trying to identyfy if the notice/eviction was mot's fault If it was then she would be deemed intentionally homeless and they would only have a duty to accommodate her for 28 days. If they look at her finances and show that she could have paid the rent if she had mananged her finances better then her health issues become very important as she will then have to prove that her health issues were so bad that she could not cope. I am afrai dthis is her job

This is why a full financial statement and then the medical info is so important in order for mot to have a succesful end to this application. if the decision goes against her this will form the review

    Hi sand-dancer:hello:

Welcome to the site! As you will see everyone is so supportive and I have had a lot of good advice. There have been times when I have been so low that I didn't know how I was going to cope (like last weekend when site crashed) but these 'guys' on here have been and still are a life saver to me. Never in a million years did I ever think I would be putting such a personal thing like this eviction on such a public place but I am so pleased that I did.

So thank you SD for joining us - you will never feel alone :T
