Hi
)))))))))))))))))))HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Well at least they did listen to you. Still being complete idiots lets hope that your previous GP and chiropractor can help. Also Shelter should be able to be a little more proactive now.
I so feel for you as this drags on and another weekend of uncertainty its just not fair. And makes me so bloody angry. I know I said your MP yesterday I meant your local Councillor have you contacted him/her yet and told them of the decision etc; perhaps they could start batting a little stronger for you. After all it is in there interests to keep you in there area you are a vote to them.:D A Sad but true fact.
Now you need to go and have a nice cuppa or something stronger something to eat and then contact the Old Gp and chiropractor and maybe I-T could contact the councillor for you.

Stay strong Hun:j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0 -
Hi rog - I'm not convinced either - I did breakdown and say "just how much more do I have to do to prove to you that I haven't made myself intentionally homeless?" Maybe the HLO would like to come and live with me for a while to see the situation as it really is?
Thanks Gill, had coffee and sandwich, now DD and I off to do as cheap a shop as poss. I-T gone home to packChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Hi mot - It COULD have been worse - at least no 'final' refusal and still a 'line of hope'.
However - it REALLY concerns me that the HLO is concentrating primarily on the financial side - it's almost, in my opinion, as if she needs to prove that your impending homelessness was purely of your own intent.
Hopefully the additional medical information WILL go in your favour.
I'm not convinced - sorry.
I agree Rog the councillor and Shelter really need to focus on the fact that regardless of housing benefit the main issuse is MOT would be homeless anyway as the LL has SOLD the property. Something he said right at the beginging of the tenancy. Why are they ignoring this fact. I think the Local Councillor should come down heavy on this point and pronto:rolleyes:
This whole situation is farcical and grossly unfair on MOT and the Twins:mad::j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0 -
Hi!
I'm a lurker who's been following this thread from the beginning. Haven't waded in before because all I could say is what everyone else has said. Which is
Just a thought but, one thing that struck me is that (pages back!) a poster said that the HO would be looking for a win-win situation to let her off the hook. I'm wondering, could you present a win-win-win for you, HO and LL?
I know LL's treated you like cr4p, but can you (or I-T) go to him and say "Look. You want us out, I want us out. The quickest way this will happen is if you give me a letter saying that, even if I pay every penny of my arrears right now, you still want me out because the house has been sold"?
You have ''material evidence", he has his house, the HO has a let-out. Or wouldn't that work?A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

On the face of it this sounds good but I'm not whether the council would take any notice because of the evidence already given in the Notice to Quit - perhaps someone on here could offer some advice on this?Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -

well i have just caught up with the last couple days events
the ho would hand deliver the letter to ensure that you have it so that there is no room for i didnt get the emial etc or royal mail didnt deliver it also royal mail have still got backlog after strike.
i think they are concentrating on the finiacial side as thats the only angle they have. (no doubt they are working towards "targets" of how many people the make intentional/non intentional etc)
if the worst does happen DO APEAEL as it will buy time as well as the fact it will be reviewed , also the date will be heading towards xmas when they will close down so they will either leave it untill after or be keen to clear it up quickly.
allthough keep looking for properties because you will have to prove this whilst in temp accom.
re: living in temp accom the bb we stayed at had a fridge and microwave and also a steamer can come in very handy.
shop at supermarkets early evening when stuff gets knocked down cheap if they dont open sundays they will do this sat aftn as well or if they open sun then sun aftn.
hope this is some help to you mot you are an insperation to mothers / females everywhere.

Be back later xx
With any luck she'd have to shave it all off :rotfl:
(PB - Caribbean stock also)
Update:
Hi (((((MoT))) I was thinking of you during my morning training session. Fortunately it didn't interfere with the training, but I was so tempted to check in during the very short break :rotfl:
As another poster said, it wasn't an outright no, but it does seem as if they are really trying to get out of their legal responsibility. Reminds me of my situation nearly 4 years ago. In a way, I'm glad you broke down in front of them so they at least got a small sample of how you are 'handling' the situation.
Try and have a good weekend with the family and regain some strength. You have a lot of support on here :beer:The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
