Re: HC's 2nd post to me - I know that I am in the wrong for not having been able to pay my rent but I have had a lot of mitigating circumstances which anyone at the council with an ounce of human feeling in their bones would hopefully understand that sometimes things in life just don't go as planned.

But its also the sheer length of time that this is taking and the enormous pressure heaped on top of the depression that is so awful to contend with.

Stop beating yourself up MOT there were circumstances beyond your control. All credit it to you, you have held your hands up but lets move away from that, the situation spiralled out of your control.:eek: Also nowhere in all this xxxx have I sensed even the merest hint of "poor me or why me" all thru your only concern has been the welfare and security of the Twins.:j You are a wonderful Mum and a very Special Person pity there were not more of you in the world:j

I'm another lurker but non-poster, until now. I have spent the last four hours reading your thread ( so nothing done around the house yet -ah well!).

I got quite optimistic for you around the weekend posts then couldn't believe what happened yesterday:mad:

Your situation is completely horrific and puts my own problems into perspective. The way you have handled all this totally awesome. I take my hat off to you.

I'm glad you have the amazing support network of MSE and i think all the above posters deserve a pat on the back too:T

Right, deep breath taken and phone call made to Head of Housing - who told me that the Snr HLO is out for the afternoon! Interesting I said because when I phoned at 2.30 I was told she was just going into a meeting Oh yes, she replied but I will get her to ring you back by 5.30pm.
To which I replied politely 'thank you - but as this is now very urgent if I don't hear from her then I will taking this matter to the Chief Executive' :mad:

Thats a sort of result....only worry is what time the Chief Exec goes home on Tuesdays...Which council is it MoT? PM me coz i have a cunning plan to get some info!!

If she is out they can contact her on her Mobile phone, try ringing back and asking for her Mobile number or go ahead and ring chief exec as there is no way she will come back to the office at 5.30 all these council offices shut at 5.00pm Sorry but it is more fobbing you off:rolleyes: They are playing for time till your HLO comes back tmwr:eek: I know this is stressful for you, but please try to gather your strenght and ring them back.

mot YOU HAVE GOT TO GO DOWN THERE NOW demand to speak to who is in charge tell them that you have been fobed of at every stage tell them they etheir get some to talk to you in person today or you will see the cheif exc today to make formal complant tell them you are not leaving untill you have spoken to some who can answer your questions they must have someone in charge of the office when managment go out

Hi MOT hope you had a good time at the wedding, sorry to see that this process is stressing you out.

Can I just ask what the great urgency is for? Does it really matter if the decision is made today or tomorrow? From your other posts I believe you have until 8th Nov before your eviction (apologies in advance if I've got this wrong). You still have plenty of time, and don't forget your dr's were the main cause of the delay, so I do think it is a bit unfair to blame/complain about your LHO.

I can understand your frustration and I can appreciate that you just want to know where you stand but to be honest even if you're successful, you'll more than likely end up in temporary accommodation anyway. Then there will be more waiting around (sometimes for months) until something suitable becomes available.


Anyway fingers crossed for a quick decision.

Depends on the council, my office is open til well after 5.30pm

Hope you've heard something by now and if not, I would definatley back the idea of going to the nationals!!
