    Mumoftwins,

Remember too, that now you have us. I have been racking my brains to think of something to help you and during that time you have had help from other members of the forum - people that really do know what they are talking about - unlike me who can only lend a listening ear.

If you hang around this forum for any length of time you will see that this forum supports people with all different problems, questions, and queries. We are really lucky to have one another and have this website for support and information.

My thoughts will be with you tomorrow, and I hope everything goes well. Please come back on here if you can and let us know what happened. We will all support you in any way we can.

Be brave, it will all be a whole lot less awful than you think.

  • I'd say they'll be more likely to help you as you have young kids.

Hang in there, and we'll be thinking of you.

You are all so wonderful and thank you so much for your support.

I have just spoken to Shelter and the woman was really helpful and told me what to expect. She said that there will be a representative of Shelter there tomorrow or a Duty Solicitor who will able to speak for me.

But she did say that the Council may find that I made myself intentionally homeless in which case I would be left with nowhere to live

God knows what I would do then :confused:

I will come back on tomorrow night and let you all know, and also when I've been to the council this week - fingers, legs, armas and everthing else crossed :undecided

    Morning all,

Well today is the Court Hearing (12noon) - feel fairly strong surprisingly! Had a lot of support from friends locally and far flung and you all yesterday - thank you!

Once this is out of the way the next step is to prove to the council I haven't made myself intentionally homeless. A friend suggested getting a solicitor to help does anyone know if that woulf help my case please? I would get Legal Aid so no money issues there I think.

    Thanks for reading :o

Do not move out of your own accord - that is "making yourself intentionally homeless" - only useful advice I can offer but I have heard of a magistrate warning someone not to move at the same court hearing that he awarded the eviction notice.

Thanks mrsk and greytdog! Will come on later and let you know how I got on - surprised I'm not falling apart, this time last week I would never have thought I could even cope with preparing for the court hearing let alone going!

Good luck for today - you have to be strong and sort this for your kids sake.

Thanks pooky - you are absolutely right. I love my kids so much and have tried to hide as miuch from them as possible as they've had a rough time over the last 3 years as well. They're good kids and need to be settled too.
