I think you have enough to worry about without analysing yourself too much. Your foibles might be a bit odd, but tell me someone who doesn't have any
. I remember laughing at Monica in Friends because she had to have her quilt a certain way with the flowers growing upwards (towards the headboard) then realised I was the same . And, even at my advanced years, I still can't put my arm over the side of the bed at night in case the bogey man gets it
.
Chin up, you have a lot of good people on your side & Gazette coverage was fab!!!!Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -

The Solicitor said yesterday she has received a short draft from the psychiatrist and that the full report will be with her early next week so she will let me have a copy then.
Having seen him the other day it has made me think of a lot of things about myself that I do which aren't quite 'normal' - in the way that I speak to total strangers as if they were friends - not virtually but in the outside world - also there are certain things that I 'have' to do otherwise I don't feel comfortable - daft things such as each morning whilst i am still in bed I unplug my mobile phone from its charger but I can't get out of bed holding it in my hand I have to put it on the bed first then pick it up when I'm standing up. I-T has noticed another in that when we get on the tube I always go to the right and have to sit on the first seat with my back to the platformI just don't feel comfortable if I did this any other way - do I now sound barmy to you all??? There are more little things too but having just got up I can only remember those two for now. None of it stops me living but they are little 'routines' that I seem to have done all my life. When I was a child I had to tidy all my the things on bookshelf before I went to bed - again to feel comfortable in my mind.
ali007 - so sensible. No surrprise if silvercar, rog2 and others come along with just the same simple advice.
mot, in no way is it 'abnormal' to do what you describe. It is one of the blessings of being human to cross paths with so many differing individuals all the time and, by chance, find connections, disparities, share talk of ordinary things.
Supermarket queues are a natural, be it with other shoppers or staff who look miz, harassed etc.
It's the stuff of Life.
As for foibles - I'll be content to leave house, get in car and JUST GO - without having to come back in for something vital, which has usually been placed in a DON'T FORGET area, right by the door.
I have probably tripped over it on the way out.
i.e. passport?
Late summer,I was almost at Dover when the HORROR THOUGHT STRUCK, right out of sub-cutaneous nowhere.
I searched in vain then carried blindly on, arriving so late that I was waved straight on. Phew, thought I, knowing that there's never anyone at Boulogne at that time of day.
Wro-o-o-o-ng!
Nothing for it but to throw self on mercy of French pp control, showing livret de famille, explaining all and making clear my love for France(it's more, much more, so required no effort). I also showed a photocopied Bank doc(passport being still under photocopier many moons distant), fortunately still unposted, because of delay searching caused en route. At this blessed moment, in strode Mrs England, 'displacing' me from the little window and demanding to know 'How much longer is this going on? If you people don't know your jobs, you have no right to make ME and people like me, suffer...' My Gallic chevalier courteously indicated he would attend to her, bientôt Madame. The more she brayed and neighed, the more he closed down and focussed all his attention on me, flourishing stamps, asking me about NZ, les All Blacks, le Haka and, as soon as she huffed back to her handsome, new ATV, waved me on with charm and the winkiest smile, or smiliest wink......

PLEASE KEEP MOT'S CASE PROFILE HIGH OVER CHRISTMAS AND REMINDERS CONSTANT TO ALL ON THE MASTER LIST OF COUNCILLORS, OFFICIALS AND OTHER KEY REPRESENTATIVES - ANYONE YOU CAN THINK OF - AND HHG.
I want to wish :A everyone:Ainvolved here a blessed time over the coming days - I will not be around and need the reassurance of knowing the Nuisance Factor Banner for DBC is being waved madly in my absence.
Dear Julia, Felicity, Adam, Tony - you are in my thoughts and will be so constantly - as will many here.
Finally a favour sought - would it be possible for someone in our happy mot family to record SCD final for me?
I will gladly pay for video and postage.
Thankyou all - I'm about to go out and see if, for once, I can start car and not pop back in again.

just taken half and hour to catch up with all the goings on.
Work is so buuusy at the mo' - the world of crime also enjoys a pre-Christmas rush!
I'm glad to see things are progressing slowly.
Thanks for your thanks on pg 80 MOT, if that makes sense.
Makes a change from having 'vulture' or 'bloodsucker' and worse hissed at me down court corridors.

MOT and I had a really nice weekend with her sister and BinL. Went for a nice curry and then played charades until 3am! No, not in the curry house - silly! MOT's sister B inL MOT and I were in hysterics at one point; something quite silly but the mood just caught us and it was one of those side holding, can't breath for laughing moments. I reckon it was a real tonic for both MOT and I. Problems almost forgotten for the weekend. The twins were with their father this weekend so MOT could just let go. It was wonderful to see her laughing again.:rotfl: :j0

Car crammed with presents for the twins from their fathernow deposited at Dad's out of prying eyes way!
As I-T says had a wonderful weekend and haven't laughed so much in so long!! BinL had a quiet word with me to ensure I am ok and hadn't realised that I was suffering so badly from depression - as Gillianh2 has said it is 'smiling depression' so is hidden from the outside world, everyone thinks you are 'fine' and 'coping' but inside you are falling apart. Well, I think there is only so long that it can be held inside and has to come out which is what has happened to me over the past few weeks I think. But yet I again I can only say a big 'Thank You' to you all for continued support and lobbying of those that can make a difference:AChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
