I probably shouldn't say this please remove my post if its concidered offensive but if she was from another country she would have been treated better, its just plain wrong that she is being left hanging up until the last min on this one and I for one am amazed by her strength

    Hi all,

Been to Council - completed Homelessness Application with the same woman as before - she was very pleasant today and actually admitted she hates her job and is so stressed out by it (this came into conversation because the Security Guard came in to tell her that someone was waiting for her in reception who was 'out of their tree' drunk and was demanding to see her - she had placed this person in temp accom when they got thrown out of parents home for taking drugs and placed in temp accom only to get thrown out again because of drugs and attitude. This person was then placed by my woman in another temp placing only to get thrown out AGAIN! And this person was back demanding more help!!) I must seem like a Saint compared to that scenario

Anyway now I have to sit and wait - the Homeless Advisor is off tomorrow and MOnday so nothing will get done until Tuesday.

Will send of form N244 to court to ask for postponement of Bailiffs Warrant as suggested by CLS, Chase up MP and County Councillor.

Oh, Social Services rang me today and said just to them updated with what happens with Council.

Thanks for all your posts - I don't feel alone knowing you are all there for me :kisses3:

This is a very good idea, i have used this service to contact the MP for Hemel and he responded very quickly about a reletivly trival matter in comparison to yours.

Well last time I wrote anything stronger it came out all **!!
I was also trying to clarify something with the OP & didn't want to upset them either!

MOT, ring your Councillor - that is what they are there for, to be contacted by their residents when in need. Why else do we vote for them?!

Hi back now, was worried because your blue light was on and I know time is of the essence.

Hope you find this link helpful, I'm afraid you have to polite but ruthless where your housing situation is concerned. Please get as many big hitters as you can to take notice of your case, MP's, in fact it was on the agenda on the Labour party conference today, lack of affordable housing, find the housing minister and email her (I think it's a her).

Re your landlord, he was NOT allowed to touch your stuff or indeed is he allowed access to the property until you officially leave, don't let that t*sser bully you, cheeky git £1000 a month rent.........unbelievable.

Anyway good luck, wish I could be of more help.xxx

Just to show you the system is so poor, as I previously posted on here, the homeless team will do their best not to fill out a claim, this is what happened today to one of our clients.....

My colleague "M" took a client to make an appointment to see the homeless team. After numerous questions the person at the desk says " i don't think you will be a priority case" to which "M" said, "is that an official answer? Have you made the final decision with out filling out the form?"

The desk person became flustered and called for her supervisor, to which "M" made a complaint and asked for the case to be reviewed immediatley.

It took over an over to then do, but it got done.

Our client came away shocked, because he said that if he had listened to the person they first met, he would have walked away and not bothered with the official part of filling out the application form.

So MOT, as the saying goes - "Don't let the Bug*!~s grind you down":T

    Gosh!!!!

Thank you all for such fantastic advice and support - you are WONDERFUL :A :A :A

I have written to 2 local County Councillors, the MP for this area AND Yvette Cooper (Housing Minister - thank you Triker :T ) now just have to wait and see what comes back from them. TBH I have sent 2 emails to the local CC and the MP each today - just to remind them that its urgent ;) .

I have in the past been someone who has read the posts on MSE and maybe added a couple of posts, so when I sat down that Sunday before the Court date and poured it all out to you guys I never dreamt I would get SO much help and support - I can never thank you all enough :T
