Have just looked up the local Credit Union:

"Currently **CU does not charge more than 1% interest on the monthly reducing balance. This facility is available once a new member has been a regular saver for about 8 weeks. We also have a scheme to help those who wish to claim an “emergency loan”.

I'm hot footing it down there tomorrow between 10 and 11 am![/quote]

If the Gazette is a daily paper, it may not be on t'interweb yet.... our local daily is part of the same group & appears about 9-10am.

Having just looked at their website, I see what you mean...... I would guess either the Council have objected, or the story has been put back for editorial / space reasons.

    Morning all,

    Got bad head today:confused:

Just checked Ampersands link and I can't see it either BUT it may be in next week as the journalist, (who wrote the article on the 2 men in a van), was asking me a lot of questions about how Christmas would be affected by our situation maybe, as next week is that bit nearer to Christmas, it would make for more sensational journalism:confused:

How about using a housing benefits calulator on line to see whether they are under paying your housing benefit?

    www.entitledto.co.uk is one of these

    Hope this helps x;)

OMG!!!! What an awful picture but there again its meant to be - I can see the faint glimmer of a giggle in DD's eyes;) and DS looks all tight mouthed (probably trying hard not to giggle too!)

Well, Georgia has got the info right and I must say I am pleased with what she has written, shame there couldn't have been more detail but at least we've got a mention.

    What does anyone else think?
