Yes, christabell, this is an aspect we are all concerned about.
The Appeal process SEEMS(in deference to and respect for Gforce and teeni) ludicrous, in that they allow no personal reps, present printed statements to a Committee of whom I see only one councillor so designated on their own site. In fact, 'keeping our clean sheet' could almost be seen by them as a 'Best Practice, Best Value' measure in the way that LA mission statements run these days.
Without any impartial observer present, let alone the Appellant, who know What is presented and How?
Time to re-read 'Rotten Boroughs'.
I think Dacorum need a way to re-house mot adequately without losing face - it's heavily Tory, with a couple each of Labs and LibDems.
What does it contravene to leaflet each and every of these good folk and flag the circumstances of the forthcoming Appeal up to them? Make them aware that the panel of five on the day are ALL aware of what they stand to gain/lose in publicity?
Why not think the unthinkable and then do it?
mot has experienced the unthinkable and unbelievable up till now.
Other views please?
Bless you all for your :grouphug: 's for the twins - I'll show then when they are home from school xxChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Ampersand could I have a bit of what you are on!!!!!
I spoke to my friend last night who is a Judge specialising in Mental Health and she suggested that MOT's number one job is to get a soliciotr to put into place a Judicial Review for the second evicition, she has given me a name of a solicitor, that she has come across in Mental Health/Homelessness who are highly experianced and do Legal Aid. So just waiting to hear back from them.
The Judicial Review does not examine the decision, itself but how the deicion was came to (does that make sense.!!!) which I think all of us would say was dubious in the least.

You would definitely NOT want to be on what I am on, dear sf:rotfl:, nor where I am, but I would certainly insist those Councillors be in my present place and time.

Have to repeat: the Law Society site can only be as up-to-date as the listed Firms ensure, with staff change/addition/specialism.
It does mean calling numerous firms, but we're getting there.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Tell DD and DS, especially in his capacity as Manager of England - football? Country?, that Mum has Been A Good Girl Today, training/working hard for the Team, despite external uncertainties and politicking.
DD- have you read any Eoin Colfer/Artemis Fowl?
Please do - they'll be in your Libraries, school and town.
I think we have a beautiful Holly Short/Juliet Butler amalgam in you.

She may been seen as "perverting" the review process...maybe better to try & get her Councillors on her side. IMO the Council may look at it as a reason to support the HLO & uphold the original decision.
Still trying to get that figure from our Advice people....will post when I have figures.
