[could someone please pm me the name of the HLO because I want to google it?
Thank you,

Me too!!!
MOT I would defo take up the opportunity of getting your Local Paper to publicise your situation. This is getting way out of hand. Why the hell does the HLO feel the need to brag about how many appeals she has won:eek: )))))))))))))))HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))):j I have a persecution complex. Hi MOT, hope you had a good and restful weekend.
I have a couple of questions really, firstly how did the LHO come to the conclusion that your old property was affordable even with the shortfall in hsg benefit? You said your figures came out at a minus so I can't see how they could say you didn't have financial hardship unless the LHO felt that some of the amounts were artificially high or that you were putting down expenses that were not relevant, which she then disregarded. Do you have any more information on how she came to her conclusion?
Are Shelter reluctant to get involved in your appeal because they are afraid of the LA or because they don't believe you have a strong case? From my previous dealings with Shelter they come out all guns blazing, even on the weaker cases, I really can't understand why they aren't getting more involved in yours. It just doesn't make any sense. Is it the case worker who is saying this? Have you spoke to their manager to see if they agree?
Sorry if this sounds harsh. it's not meant to be. I'm just trying to make some sense of it all because it doesn't add up.
For the DLA have a look at this website, it's excellent. http://www.bhas.org.uk/ I've used it in the past when making claims for a couple of my relatives and I've always been successful and I didn't need 'help' from anyone else (help from medical/social professionals is usually less than useless because they don't go into enough detail). Be aware though completing the form can be very depressing and draining as you have to dwell on the negatives- all the things you can't do rather than the positives.0 -

I do apologise for my remarks if I have offended anyone, but I just feel that the system has badly let MOT and her children down.

I've taken out my reply because I don't think it adds anything to helping MOT's situation. Sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread MOT0 -
Hi Gforce,
I gave the HLO an MSE Money Diet sheet listing all my income and expenditure and it showed EVERYTHING that I could think of and none was was excessive just normal - I looked at it hard before I gave it to her to make sure she couldn't 'get' me on being over the top about anything. Until I see my file I can't say how she came to her conclusion.
It was an advice worker from Shelter that I saw who said she would be happy to represent me but she felt I ought to know that they had never won a case against my LA.
Hope this clarifies things for you and feel free to ask away again if you need to.
Have pm'd you HLO's info.Hi MOT, hope you had a good and restful weekend.

Hi MOT,
wow. I've just spent a couple of hours reading this thread. You are an amazing woman. I'm glad you've got Italian-Tony and your twins for support and all the forum members on here too.
Keep your chin up, and don't let the b******s grind you down. You're an inspiration in the great British tradition of carrying on in adversity. You're an amazing sounding woman. Good luck.

HI Mot,
Sorry to see you having trouble sleeping yet again and little wonder:rolleyes: How did the meeting with SS go did they have any useful or helpful tips?
Just as a thought as I know you have to share a room with the twins, have you a sofa bed that you could borrow, you could perhaps use that in the lounge, it would give you a litte privacy and might help with the lack of sleep as you could perhaps lay a little longer and read without disturbing the twins.
Hope today brings brighter news.:A
After the twins go to school why not try and have a nice bubble bath and a lay down. This lack of sleep must be wreaking havoc on your depression and you general ability to cope.

Morning luv, go back to bed once the twins are at school. Big hugs xx0

Morning Gill and SSL,
Phoned SS yesterday to rearrange appt as DD announced the night before she had been invited to a party after school! So going tomorrow at 4pm.
Think I will do as you both say and go back to bed when I come in from school - there's a lot I need to do but it would be better to do it when I am less tired wouldn't it?Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Yes things never get done properly whilst you are so tired, you either make a hash of it and then either cause yourself more work or worry. )))))))))))))HUGS))))))))))))))) I have e-mailed you with some adivce have a look amd make that appt;
Now try to relax a little get the twins ready for school and then have a few hours nap even if you cant sleep stay in bed and read anything but just stay there.
)))))))))))))))HUGS))))))))))))))
BTW gonna take my own advice in a while get OH off to work and then bath and bed.LOL:j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0
