I’m new to the forums so subscribing to diaries to keep me focussed! Well done on the £83k reduction, that must feel amazing!

  • Morning all,

Quick check in for accountability before heading off to school / work, £67.02 OP made this morning. Cash withdrawn for car, leaving £22 in the bank until payday on Friday! We need nothing though so no issues.

Have brilliant MFW weeks all x
  • Morning all,

You can tell you're a MFW when you have a couple of glasses of wine on a Saturday night and make an OP whilst watching Strictly! £1k OPd last night, so close to the 70s now...

Thank you for all the kind wishes about how much we have OPd so far, congratulatory pats on the back to everyone for each OP we make, no matter how big or small.

I have written on our kitchen whiteboard 'every penny we overpay is a penny we never need to earn again', certainly focuses the mind.

    Happy Sunday all xx

Love the Saturday night 'Strictly' overpayment.

Love the quote reminder, I always say to myself 'well that's another £ I won't pay interest on' when I do mine.

Love the quote! It’s sometimes hard reading the diaries of people who are making huge OPs when I can only manage a couple of £s however you are so true, even small amounts add up!

  • Most days I make tiny OPs. Trust me they do quickly add up x
  • Morning all,

As usual, time has slipped by and I haven't updated my diary! Given that time is one thing I do have an awful lot of at the moment, there are no excuses not to now 😊

It has been an odd and tricky few months here, I won't go into detail as it's too depressing and boring but am feeling better about life now, and ready to get back into action on the MFW front. So life in summary:
💓 the estate is still being disputed 😔I've totally put it out of my mind now, when the money arrives, it arrives. It saddens me that people are so vile, but there we go.
🌴as I work in a school, I am working from home now for the foreseeable and homeschooling at the same time (trying to, is a better way to put it!)
💓we are thankfully entitled to some Universal Credit which will help (my income is fairly low)
🌴we are all well and healthy

I didn't make it to the 70s last year, current balance approx. £81,900. I did sell a high value item on fleabay yesterday though so will be making a £200 OP today. I am also saving money on things like fuel, after school childcare etc, so my aim is to OP that money.

New goal - I will be in the 70s by the time we break up for the summer holidays 🤩.

I hope everyone is well and coping with this new world we find ourselves in xx
