    Happy Birthday Gingham Ribbon.

Neck is still very stiff/sore, off to have a bath and see if that helps.

Had lamb chops garlic pots, cauli, and some of my mums 13lb of toms for dinner, which I stuffed with cheese, garlic, mustard, wortershire sauce, and paprika, delish .

Afternoon gang, hope everyone is warm and happy this afternoon. Phoebe is very well thanks for all hte kind words.I didn't get on here for a couple of days but everything is fine. Friday I woke up with an awful headache(like a huge hangover without the booze ) everytime I moved I threw up:confused: and yesterday htere were yet more electricity problems. As my cmputer problems stemmed from the last round of power cuts I decided to play safe and not to switch the 'puter on all day. We went to bed halfway through the Ireland match(couldn't take any more of it_pale_ _pale_ :rotfl: ) Anyway, was in bed listening to it and the radio started to go funny and all the lights were flickering like a 1940's ghost film(only needed the music to finish it or a WOOOOOOO) Anyway, went to sleep(after Ireland had crushed Georgia:rotfl: ) only to be woken by loads of voices in the road quite a few of the houses were without any electricity. Cue emergency visit about 2:00am. Thankfully ours was ok.However that didn't stop the 2:47 knock on the door to see if we had electricity(guess what I put on to come down the stairs AND we had a light on in the kitchen)Conversation-"United Utilities pet(!)" (the lad was about 12!)have you any electric? "yes" "Are you sure about that?" "yes I have turned the light on" "right, is that mains electricity you have?" "erm, yes what else would it be?(I was confused not snotty honest)"so you dont have a generator??????!!!!!!!!!! right well pet( !!!) off you go back to your bed then. ??????This morning they have been digging up various front gardens but thankfully not ours:j :j .
Phoebe is back at the vets tomorrow but is doing really well. DH slept with her on Thursday night and htings are looking good. The vet is fairly sure that there is nothing unpleasent there:j :j  :j :j SO happy.

  • Hi there OSers

ALIBOB what a gorgeous little baby. My daughter was a big baby,I can remember holding her and her being so warm and squidgy- she was wonderful and I'm sure George Hanry Joseph is just the same. BTW she is a very slim, quite petite 13y.o. now and screams in horror when she sees any photos of how gorgeously plumptious she was.

REDRUBY sorry to hear of your fall, maybe an Epsom Salts bath might help.
SMOKEYBABE ((((hugs)))) to you and DH

  • Hope to have a look at the thread later but as you can imagine a busy day. Boys have been really good - went to the Butterfly Farm and took a car picnic. Weather awful - I got totally soaked just getting boys in and out of the car.

Had to negotiate huge road flooding on way home. However, sun broke out about 4.00 and the evening looks promising.

Rather sad about the news re Colin McRae - DH and I met him about 3 years ago when we were on corporate for Knockhill Superbikes. He was a lovely unassuming guy and to think what his wife has to get to grips with - his death plus their dearest wee boy. Doesn't bear thinking about it.

Just in case I don't get back tonight - hope you are all OK. The usual hugs to those not in good health or having a good day. Whoo hoo to those of you with a celebration.

Not sure who the new posters are but if any today - welcome.

    Love

Hi everyone. I hope all is well with everyone.

Well this retirement lark for other half is making us soooo busy.

I was called to work on Friday and Bless Him---- he said on Thursday night will you make sure you turn the alarm clock off early, take your clothes out so you dont disturb me and bring me a cup of tea as you leave. He was only joking but I realised how he must have felt on many a morning!!!!!

Well we went to Austria-- wall to wall rain and all the time it was wall to wall sunshine over here. MSE ways reigned supreme with delicious meals cooked in and picnics taken out.

Had friends all weekend so havent managed to read thread but do send congratulatory wishes to all celebrating all things big and small and gentle thoughts to all who need them.

Off to Cornwall for a couple of days tomorrow to stay with friends taking home made chutney, home made cards and scrummy cake from a recipe on here so hope all will be received well.

    Speak soon
Try and do a good deed every day.
