Good morning all, well it's back to normal today - it's RAINING ! Guess that's our dry spell finished and I will go back to being paranoid about getting my washing dried !
Today I'm going to have a quiet day at home, do some ironing, watch a DVD in the afternoon while knitting, and do some cooking and baking for the week ahead.
I like trying new recipes, today I'm going to make a new dessert - it's a puff pastry base spread with an almond mixture and topped with pears (hope it tastes as nice as it sounds). I'm also going to try another recipe for Rocky Road, I want to make it like the one served at my local garden centre cafe (this will be my third try).
Re bread prices - Farmfoods sell 2 Kingsmill loaves (any type) for £1.60. Still that price last week.
Have a good Sunday
PP Glad you're on the mend.

Good morning all,
Long time no post, very sorry. Last couple of weeks of pregnancy have been fun in and out of hospital mainly because there was very little wrong with us I think! I had a c-section on the 12th of September and am very proud to announce that I had the most beautiful baby boy George Henry Joseph he was born at 39 weeks weighing 11 lb's 8.5 oz!
I have mentioned in the past that my daughter was 10.3 lb's but I didn't think that he would be any bigger. He's very gorgeous though and I madly in love with him.
Just going to have a read through the post and see what i've missed, I really missed the internet and this site in hospital so i'm happy to be home!
(hugs) to any that need it.
Edited to show a little picture of my lovely son! http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/album_photo.html?c_photo=16026660630 -

Morning all!
I've been up for almost an hour and not done much at all! Ah well.
Need to write the food shopping list-I'm off out to the supermarket to buy a few clothes bits, so thought that I'd pick up the food shopping as well. When I get back I'll have a couple of work bits to do (nothing too strenuous), then it's housework and relaxing. I'm thinking chicken pie for lunch/early dinner, and then beans on toast later if we're hungry-had better get the bm on this afternoon then!
Breakfast is what OH had for a snack when we got in from seeing my lot last night-sausage and bacon roll, yum! We treated ourselves to a couple of bits in M&S food hall-nothing we could make ourselves mind! Also got OH some socks-he has size 14 feet and they now do up to 14.5 in some of their sock ranges, and they are much cheaper (and better quality) than the specialist shops we used to use. Their socks are on special offer at the moment, which made them even cheaper, so he was really chuffed!
Right-bath, breakfast and shopping list, then I'm off out!
Have a relaxing Sunday everyone and *hugs* to those who need/want
ETA Happy birthday to jcr16 (I'm 26 next year, eek!) and Freyaluck and congrats to alibob-he is gorgeous!

Happy birthday jcr16 :bdaycake:
DH and I are supposed to be going to Cambridge today for a bit of mooching and shopping. We've got to get our godson's 3rd birthday present. I asked his mum what he wants/needs for a present and she said Duplo...... so Duplo it is! He has most things to do with Thomas the Tank Engine so I didn't want to duplicate anything like that.
I managed to persuade DH last night to look on Ryanair for flights to Dublin. My "boys" (Leicester Tigers) are playing there in November and we've managed to get flights for a penny. Including taxes it's £20 each return. We can't even get the cheapest tickets down to London for that! All we need now are tickets to the match. We're going on the first flight and then returning on the last of that day, so we don't have to shell out for accommodation. The last time we went there for a match, not much was open on the Sunday morning. DH wants to go to the Guiness Brewery when we're there, which will be a nice treat for him (and will probably mean that he'll sleep the whole way through the match!)
Bye for now.
