Possible £11 off Amazon shopping

I've just placed an order for a DVD whilst my DVD rental is still current and it's given me 5% off.

Perhaps it's been mentioned earlier in the thread, but I didn't know that was going to happen. Here are the details.

So you might want to place a large dvd order before you cancel!!

(Although the discount will be removed if you cancel the DVD rental before the DVD order is dispatched...)

I was offered the £10 off on a recent order, but didn't think it was worth it, as remember first you have to sign-up for at least the £3.99 DVD rental package, so that reduces the saving to £6.01 and then you have to be careful when you cancel it, for £6 wasn't worth the hassle in my opinion.

But as others have found, you can cancel without even having the £3.99 deducted simply by not putting any dvds on your list and then sending an email once your discounted order has been dispatched. Doesn't seem that much hassle to me for a tenner off...

Fair enough, I assumed from the T+Cs I read that the £3.99 was non-refundable. My order was for £170 so probably why I wasn't as bothered to look into it!

I had the credit card offer which showed £15 off , as soon as it said application is being processed, the discount wasn't there anymore!
I'm stuck both ways, any advice?

have to say im not brave with offers if they are complicated but this was great got £15 off of xbox game but noticed when totalled that vat was added after discount so £40 game became £22 and some pence. was going to cancel rental without adding to list but i love movies and they have some old classics to rent that are unavailable in my local blockbusters. saved my the cost of buying them too. fantasic offer and great service from amazon !

part of my order has still not been dispatched(from an order 3 weeks ago). if i cancel my trial will i still get the total discount?
