...........due respect to all the good customer assistants out there though - having been one myself in my dim and distant past I do remember it can be hard and thankless work (and dragging up these memories from that time I can remember characters whose behaviour you describe above would be more than typical!).

Little Me offer worked for me today - neither the item reduction or the 3-for-2 is advertised but still all went through for less than a fiver for the three sets in total, plus 500 points. I paid for a couple of other things at the same time, and also did it on the pharmacy counter as I needed to get something there, so don't think the assistant noticed that the total was surprisingly low. Also used my 10% discount. Quite addicted to the buzz now - a totally legal high!

I have done several transactions today, I did them separately so to get the 500 extra points each time. The lady that served me said that this was ok - so it cannot be a problem?

Thanks OP. 3 separate transactions, points up from £4.25 to over £21 :j (got 75 points voucher for spending over £10) and lots of lovely gift sets too. Till lady followed me to the shelf to check the prices and whispered that I got a fantastic deal paying only £6.48 and getting 500 points and should run away quietly. I whispered back "I'll just get some more and then run away" .

Addy your quite right ....99% of the time checkout assistants who serve me are brilliant and polite ( maybe its because I treat them with respect they deserve also ) ... There have even been times when they have pointed me in direction of a certain bargin that I have missed

So is the offer now off? i went into boots today to look for these little me sets but couldnt find any? what exactly are they?

Funny you should mention that!! Most of the Boots Assistants all know me by name now, I'm embarassed to admit Anyway, one I've not seen for a few weeks ran over today to let me know that they were building up a whole new section just for bought in clearance items, and to go in on Thursday morning for the best ones!!!! (this could very well just be in my store).

I was only told today Boots had updated the tills to stop this offer ..... I DID NOT try it myself so am unsure if they have HOWEVER other people have said it was still working .... gotta be worth a try though just incase it is still on
