I made this one last night and added some bacon into it. Very nice with a light sauce, the heavy gloopy sauces put me off making this too much before0

Yes i know what you mean about gloopy gunky! Did the milk do the job rather than a white sauce ?A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

yep , the milk did the trick though I think if you didn't want to use milk and wanted a richer sauce, try adding elamlea instead. It won't split during cooking like normal cream would.
Tastes good the next day too, I'm currently scoffing leftovers for my lunch as I type this0 -
I do have a soft spot for the bajan style macaroni pie where you use eggs to thicken the sauce rather than make a bechemel - whisk egg, milk (or evap) and grated cheese, pour over the pasta and bakePeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I'd better finish the macaroni cheese in the fridge first!
I love the stuff. Had a craving for it when pregnant so used to make up massive batches and eat it for breakfast, dinner and tea!0
