Refusal of a cash account has nothing to do with your level of debt. I would check your credit file if I were you.0

I opened my cash account today in-branch and was confirmed to me I would get a 2 in 1 debit card.QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0

I definitely agree!
I recommend checkmyfile.com. They will give you access to files with all here credit agencies. They will also mediate on your behalf in case of problems. They have been fantastic so far in helping to deal with MAJOR errors in my files.:AQUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0 -
Well i called up today and said that i had lost my card, they told me they would order me a new one. So we will wait and see what type of card they send me. I have a feeling it will just be another cash card!0

I think if you "lose" your card and call the lost and stolen line, the new card will definitely be a 2-in-1 debit card. When I first got my Classic account with them, it came with a 2-in-1 card, which quickly malfunctioned within the first month. I called the call centre and was told, it will not let me order one for you, only a cash card, you will need to go to a branch. So I called the lost and stolen line and asked them if they could issue a replacement card, without cancelling my current card, and that that replacement would be the same 2-in-1 card, not a problem i was told, and the woman on the phone had no idea why the call centre could only order me a cash card. The replacement card was a 2-in-1.It would appear different memeber of staff have different levels of access and authority on the computer system, and lost and stolen have the highest level.Hope this is of some help.James0

My mum was sent a VISA debit card by Lloyds on Monday, we had gone into HSBC the previous thursday to open an account with them, im glad we didnt now, she is going to stick with Lloyds.0

I can confirm that by calling up the LloydsTSB to report your cashcard lost or stolen you will be sent a 2-in-1 Visa debit card. I called them on Wednesday evening to report that I had lost my card (I hadn't really I just wanted to see if I would be sent a debit card!) and this morning (Friday) I received my 2-in-1 debit card in the post. The only cosmetic difference between the card and the one received on the Classic Account is that the Cash Account debit card is a rather nice sky blue colour with a black horse on whereas the Classic Account debit card is white with a black horse on.
So if you have a Cash Account already and would like to get the debit card I would recommend calling up to report your card 'lost'.0 -
Looks like they've produced a new card just for the Cash account then - my 2in1 card on my Under 19's Account is the white one
