Features & Benefits- Use your Cash account debit card to withdraw money from any Lloyds TSB Cashpoint® machine and Post Office branch as well as making payments in shops and for cashback.
It will be issued for new customers probably.
Someone on this thread tied to order one, but they got a cash card instead. Also, that person on this forum said that the replacement of the cards will come effect in a few weeks time.
Don't worry, you will get one eventually.
Do you guys think people will swtich to LTSB for basic accounts, since they offer a VISA card instead of Electron?0 -
Has anyone actually got one of these cards yet??0

i think alot of people will transfer to LTSB if they offer a Visa Debit Card. Although no one has posted receiving one as yet even thou it is posted on the LTSB website.
I went in to my local branch yesterday and the lady said they are not being issued at the current time and nobody has informed any branch. she also said it has been in the pipeline for nearly 12 months.
So why do they have it stated on their website? Is it to entice many customers with the temptation of a Visa debit rather than a solo or electron?0 -

Dont rush anywhere. See my note #31 which shows the extract from the LTSB website. None of the branch staff or call centre staff know anything about "This Card"
People have asked for a replacement only to be given a cashpoint card and not a debit card0 -
I would wait until next month onwards to apply instead....0

I have just come back fro LloydsTSB.
They confirmed that the Visa Debit card is available now for new customers (as of last friday). My wife and I made an application whilst in the branch.
We insisted that we only wanted a Cash account. We went through the application, but at the end she said that she will not state Cash Account on the application because we may get a a normal account. I said we won't, but she then said, if they say no for the normal one, you will still get then basic cash account with Visa debit card.
The computer responded with a message asking her to call another department.
She did (from another room) and then came back with a 'sorry, they said no to everything'
We have very poor credit but no bankruptcy or fraud so do not know why we were turned down for even a basic account.0 -
You could ask her. They usually give some sort if info.0

I lost my cashcard and last night I rang up and spoke to the Lost and Found department and the lady said, "I will have a new debit card sent to you within 3 days"
I then realised today that I never had a debit card, so just spoken to a lady, who went through my details and confirmed I was getting a new Visa Debit Card instead of a cashcard, I asked her why and she said LLoydsTSB recently decided to help their cashaccount customers, as people didn'nt want to keep having to go to ATM machines to get cash out. She said I will now be able to pay for things in shops from when I get it.
So I assume its all true and going ahead? Has ANYONE got one yet?0
