Selling my house - it is so SLOOOW, any tips?

a few that springs to mind is:
put an offer in elsewhere
upstairs is too small
garden is too small
no potential to extend
not returning calls
needs updating more than they would like
thats really as far as it goes0 -
If you've decluttered both house and garden [STRIKE]getting rid of that eyesore trampoline![/STRIKE], OP, do you intend to have the photos retaken?
Number 48 - that was on for just shy of £260k and is SSTC - has much more professional looking pics, imho......Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0 -
The thing that puts me off massively is the garden and the way the photos have been taken. Have you thought of moving to another agent? Like the ones that have actually sold similar properties?
EDIT: Also is there a driveway? The way the front photo is taken makes me think the front is something you might not want to see or straight on a roadWhat's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
Your photos are really dreary. They're not even taken with a wide angle lens, so your rooms look cramped.
It's not just you - all the others houses from that agent look as bad.
Ask them what equipment they uses for your photos and get them to retake them professionally otherwise you'll be changing agents when the contract is up.0 -
The photos are badly taken and listed in a strange order. I see the estate agent has gone for the 'vampire levitating in the corner of the bedroom' approach to photography.
In the blurb they say it's 'Vendor suited' - what on earth does that mean?0 -
I asked to have the photos retaken this morning yes, thank you for the comment about the trampoline - it is the sort of thing you just get used to seeing and don't realise it is causing an ugly blot on the horizon. it has now been removed over the weekend, I will try and upload a new photo if I am allowed
(note, am not allowed still)
The lounge has had one of the chairs removed, the kids bedroom has had all their toys and ikea cubes taken away and rearranged, and even our bedroom looks a whole lot bigger now than the pics show.0 -
if you visit "imgur dot com" and "forward slash" and the bits below then you can find some images I took on my phone...

does that make any sense?0 -
It's not a particularly big house, but if that's what you get for the money, it's just waiting for a buyer. August is dead anyway. Tell the EA to get rid of the 'draft details awaiting vendor approval' - it's been two months!
Being picky - kitchen pic is nice (apart from the wonky sign over the door
), but garden pic is a bit rubbish - could they have stood a bit further back or in a room to take it? And the lounge pic isn't good at all. Is there a focal point? Bedroom pic looks very cluttered. Clear the lot - just one thing over the bed (and iron the duvet cover). Bathroom a bit bland and cramped - is there room at the other end of the bath to put toiletries? It does have a general look of being outgrown.
Good luck.

I "think" that Vendor suited means we have put an offer on another property and it has been accepted.... just a guess though. I agree the pics need some work, maybe I will do them myself lol0 -
For me if photo 1 is not the front of the house I move on and don't even look at the rest of the photos / details.
I would:
move the front of the house to photo 1
Paint the fence (the one at the front of the house)
put some colourful flowers / pots etc. outside the front
You have already tidied the garden
get the photos re done
Don't bother with the bathroom photo if they cant improve the angleYNWA
