Hello :j
Hope poorlies are feeling better today
Ended up having GD all afternoon yesterday, so lots of things fell off my list
Yesterday's cake was not a keeper I am afraid, as it was far too sweet, even though I reduced the sugar by a third. I will try it again though, this time cutting out all the sugar.
So far today:
Online shop while eating last of boring cornflakes for breakfast
RM surveys tasks, lots of paper for the printer and cardboard and a jiffy bag for packaging received today
Walked naughty dog
Wrapped 3 particularly awkward ebay parcels, using recycled packaging except for brown paper and tape. Got rid of a polystyrene container that had been lurking in the conservatory, cut up to help keep glass items safe
Washed down wood burner and the fender thingy in preparation for polishing them with icky black stuff.
Still to do:
Post office, I will need to drive today due to the size of the parcels
Pick up a compensation claim form for a lost (apparently) parcel
HM meals from what I have in - not planning on spending today! Made a vegetable rice thing, with lurking veg, which we had for dinner with a few slices of l o cold meat
The online shop won't be debited till it is delivered tomorrow, and the ebay postage was paid for by the buyers!
Polish wood stove and fender
Done, yuck, what a horrible job - no wonder I kept putting it off!!! Also washed hearth and all the pokers, toasting forks and chestnut pans etc that were lurking there - some of these will be rehomed via my sales unit. Nobody needs 3 chestnut pans and 3 toasting forks that they don't use :rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl:
Another dog walk Packed OH off to do this while I have a breather!
Will shortly tackle the spider's graveyard that has formed in the roof light in the kitchen extension  We have a rack thing up there that we hang utensils from, and that is ok as the things get used and cleaned regularly, but way above that is a scary tangle of webs and bodies :eek: What a dreadful housekeeper I must sound :rotfl:
:rotfl:
General tidy round and think what to do with GD tomorrow! Might get the big box of lego down - she is a bit young for it, but very adept with her hands and likes playing with it, if I play with her. Or alternatively if fine, the plastic dinosaurs which we can play with in the herb bed, which makes a good jungle at this time of the year! Done
Batch of ratatouille made to use up rest of lurking vegetables - just got to find a space in the freezer for it now
Ironing done
Sink cleaned
Dining table cleared
A solitary courgette and a mere handful of French beans picked, raspberries left, as GD likes to eat these straight off the plants, and she will be here tomorrow morning
OH is cleaning the cooker (the top part that is!) :T
Better get on! Hope you all have a good day

Hi Frugal Friends,
Not a huge amount on the list today because we have the dentist later & I am feeling jittery as needed so much done this time last year when I badly broke two teeth. Think I may need a small filling replaced. So hope that's all.
*Posted parcel & dropped off charity bag which rounded up yesterday's decluttering session.
*Free coffee in Waitrose. Popped in just for cheese. Came out just with cheese. Result!
*Attempting to line dry 2 loads of washing. May need finishing off on heated airer. Boo!
*Veg crumble for dinner from roasted veg base I froze a while ago.
*Weigh items in eBay pile ready for working out postage costs. Am checking craft mags to make sure no bits & pieces snipped out.
*Discussed Amazon Prime offer with Mr f. We had intended to renew our subscription to this before Christmas if a £59 offer appeared. The current offer (,expires tonight) is full price Prime at £79 but you can get a stick with it for £9.99 (to provide all the iplayers) instead of £34.99. As Budgeter in Chief, I was expecting this as an expense before Christmas but hadn't budgeted for it this month.Think we've talked ourselves out of it but doubtless we will still be doing pros & cons in the dentist's waiting room......which might take my mind off the drill, I suppose!
*Knit more of B-in-L's socks. I want the heel turned by the end of tonight.
*Checked veggie garden. Looks like more sweet corn cobs could be ready.
Glad to hear poorly people have rallied a little this morning.

Gosh, you lot are so busy all of the time - I feel so lazy compared to you all.
Today I have basically survived work, gotten home and am sprawled in front of the laptop with a bowl of egg fried rice.

Not a bad day, if you don't count me falling (in public) - managed to tear a hole in the knee of my trousers and now have knees like a 5 year old - all scraped and bruised. Also managed to empty DS's money box and bank more coins. Spent rest of afternoon with leg up watching films.

-Had a good couple of days - NSD today (minimal spend yesterday).
-I have managed not to supplement my packed lunch (by packing so much I'm developing a stockpile at work!!).
-I have avoided the supermarkets with ease by being too busy to go to them mostly!
-I've had a small windfall today (rebates, goodwill from bank, fees in error reversed)
-I'm going to the gym tomorrow because I've paid for it (but counting it as tomorrow's spends(!!!))
- I hit some of my jawbone up goals yesterday and today!
Hope everyone else has had a good DFW start to the week. I love reading everyone's stories.
