    Back downstairs & dusting myself off.
    Great day of sorting & decluttering. Nice pile for charity shop. They're always desperate for stock around here, so doubtless they'll be pleased. Also a big parcel of yarn packaged up to send a friend. I shan't use it & I don't like waste so feels good to pass it on.
    Other things I found which are money saving:
    *A nice new body souffle in my toiletries stash, never opened, am re-gifting it like a good Christmas elf.
    *Enough new balls of sock yarn to knit at least 6 pairs (2 for me & 4 for gifts)
    *2 other knitting projects I received as gifts & haven't yet done. No WAY do I need to be spending any money in yarn shops for the forseeable future.
    *Lots of little oddments of sock yarn.....googled ideas for using.....found some very pretty mitred square blankets. Hmmm. Could do one of those as a snuggley throw for the sofa, perhaps.
    *Sorted out needlepoint bag. Found a picture I stitched years ago. Had totally forgotten about it. If I had it stretched & framed, it would make a very nice gift. Have moved it to presents box.
    *Also found a kit which I started to stitch, which makes a needlepoint bag. Can't remember what I paid for it....pre-LBM, but it was from the Royal School of Needlework shop at Hampton Court Palace, so I bet it was expensive. I don't have time to do it now, but must remember it's there, as it would make a lovely gift.
    *Found 2 items to add to the ebay pile.
    *Chucked an old sheet in the bin.......then fetched it out again to go down to the shed to be re-purposed as a dust sheet, as we are planning a bit of decorating in Spring.
    So apart from the usefulness of improving storage for clothes & craft stuff, I also found a few little gems!
    Quiet evening planned - going to watch University Challenge & a few bits, & progress the socks I'm knitting as a gift for B-in-Law.
    Bye,

    DNMS - Sorry to hear you are feeling like poo. These viruses seem to start as soon as the kids go back to school/nursery. Hope it's soon gone.

  • Hi everyone :coffee:
    I'm struggling. So what's new? Some delightful child has germ shared with me and I was awake most of the night with a really dodgy tummy. I gave up and got up at 5.20 - was going to ring in sick to work but pulled myself round and went in. Shouldn't have bothered - I was grumpy and there was a load of other people off (including the Head) - something is obviously doing the rounds. I did the bare minimum to get through the day but was pretty desperate to get home.
    Quick stop off at Arseda to get some chocolate for ds to give to dd for her birthday tomorrow. Then home, shower and feet up. I had thought I'd be finished earlier than this but I just have to do tomorrow's lunches then I'm all finished.
    Not much mse stuff going on. Today has been about doing the bare minimum but I will be doing some crochet and having an early night.

    I'm feeling lots better today as well. Not 100% as I'm still shattered, but that's fairly constant these days. It's dd's birthday today as well so at least I'm ok for that.
    So plans;
    :) check banking and PAD
    :) full day of teaching
    :) mark a set of books
    :) spoil dd as it's her birthday
    :) aim for nsd
    :) bit of crochet
    :) early night
    :) try not to stress
    Have a good day everyone! :beer:

    Morning! Glad to hear you're feeling more chipper ziggy & cat. Am yet to see how I feel, but think it's a bit better than yesterday....

    Day off with madam today :D (and tomorrow :j:j) Play group this morning and craft projects this afternoon :) planning on making some moon sand using flour, oil and colouring for texture play :) also some yarn family portraits (I will draw basic bawd faces and she can stick on wool for hair, beards & mustaches)

    small things for the day:

    *[STRIKE] check meal plan/fridge to see what's for tea...[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]portion up and freeze yellow split pea & ham soup made yesterday[/STRIKE]
    * soak some beans to make refried beans in the sc tomorrow
    * submit meter readings - must get this off of my things to do today!
    *[STRIKE] made 2 pancakes to use up lo batter from yorkshire puds[/STRIKE] mmmmm will have these with lunch
    *[STRIKE] check banking[/STRIKE] - no doubt there'll be no change but getting back into the habit of it. I gave up a few months ago, I had no money, wasn't spending anything so what was the point???
    * [STRIKE]return library books - hurrah finally no fines![/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]if the weather eases up we will walk to the play group[/STRIKE]
    * do some voluntary work this evening
    * photo things for fleabay
    * NSD? hopefully.... nope! Forgot about getting my hair cut! :o was £19 for both madam & I, but had to go on the cc...
    * [STRIKE]continue using up things in the main freezer - only freezing things in the garage freezer now. Doing well so far![/STRIKE]
    * picked up a ms for tomorrow for a certain fast food place for breakfast - only meal I like there :D - £16 so will be £11 after cost of food towards the debt fund :T

    Ok that's all I can think of right now. Hope Tuesday pans out well for all of us x

    - Check banks and YNAB
    - Bring lunch into work
    - Drink plenty water
    - Re-read Marie Kondo
    - Another productive day in work

    Think that's me for just now.

    Have a nice day everyone.
